    I feel the same way. Not to say that they aren't great athletes but seriously? You fell down, someone slide tackled you. Unless your sh*ts broken, get up and shake it off. (and yes, I have played the sport and gotten injured as well, suck it up!)

    Besides that- they are nice eye candy.

    I'm simply stunned that in this entire thread, nobody has commended the OP on his use of the word "behoove".

    I enjoy the theatrics of futbol, calchio, soccer or whatever you want to call it. As well, I am man enough to admit I've got a bit of a mancrush on Becks, but I cannot let this oversight continue.

    That being said... I prefer watching soccer (futbol) over American Football... American football bores me.

    Not really keen on pretty boys and drama queens. I find rugby players 100 times more attractive but I have to admit I don't watch that either. Just not into watching sports.

    I pick the winning team based on how cute they are. Accurate 81.3% of the time. Of course, if roster hotness were the only measure- they would just give it to Uruguay! (Nicholas Lodeiro, Martin Silva, Diego Lugano....)

    You know what's fun? People coming into a soccer/football thread to say they don't watch soccer/football. Oh wait, did I say fun? I meant stupid.

    I don't watch soccer/football most of the time, and I prefer American football as a sport, but I love the World Cup! And as has previously been explained, when the players dive (pretend to be hurt worse than they are), it's a strategy to get the ref's attention (or get a hot-head Portuguese player to headbutt you and get himself red-carded, haha) and get a penalty called on the other team. Most of the time they pop back up and go right back to playing once the ref makes a decision.

    But yes, they are super hot... I love the ones with big crazy hair!

    my faince is really into the World Cup, and hates that nobody really wants to watch it with him, so yesterday I was feeling deadly sick and invited him over to watch one of the games. I definitely didn't mind as much as I thought I would lol.
