Any Metal Band with an "M" in their name: Metallica, Motorhead, Megadeth, Manowar, Metal Church, Iron Maiden, makes for good workout music.

I'm a HUGE fan of heavy metal!! My favorite band of all time would have to be Pantera... Nothing like a bit of angry music while burning those excess calories!! \m/

I like some metal. Five Finger Death Punch is a must on my running playlists. I always sprint to their songs. I'm more a rock girl though. I'm not sure if Avenged Sevenfold is considered metal or not, but I love them.

I would count AS. Its like Eddie Trunk says...Metal includes so much, Hard Rock, Speed, Death, Thrash, Glam/Hair etc. Many sub genres.
Agreed. Also, I'm seeing A7X in August for the second time.

    I totally agree too!

Its not strictly Metal but Rage Against the Machine is amazing for workouts. Chevelle also has an amazing tempo and beat to their songs that keeps me going. Kenny Wayne Shepard is great on runs (yeah its blues) but the rambling beat of the songs are easy to keep time to and you stop thinking about how far you are running.

Absolutely! I have a metal channel on Pandora. Use it at the gym all the time! (Of course I need to throw a little classic rock in there as well at times!)

I agree, I am a dedicated metal head and workout to metal (Insomnium, Septic Flesh and Belakor shuffling these days) but there is something about Rage against the machine that makes it the perfect music to work out to.

    Sepultura
    Ministry
    Chimaira
    Mudvayne
    Pantera
    Slipknot

Especially, when running, it's metal all the way! These days it's usually a mix of folk {any Korpiklaani fans here?} and symphonic.

Always workout with Metal. Grew up in the thrash metal era with bands like Pantera, Anthrax and Megadeth to name a few. Nothing gets me more fired up and are a staple on my iPod.

Just started with myfitnesspal last friday, also public if any fellow metal fans would like to add me up as well.
