    It's two things:1) the hottest girls are intimidating to many guys. 2) the hottest girls (or any girl really) often give off an unapproachable vibe.

    Or maybe guys flirt within their league? What is going on?

    British. I never heard of it, until I visited England. I loved it, but I can't find it stateside. I've looked everywhere.

    I think a lot of it also depends on where you are at the moment, for example you would probably get hit on more often at the club than if you were at a mall. So maybe your better looking friend doesn't go to many "social" places than your average looking one?

    It's likely either that she doesn't pick up on flirting (which is a very common thing) or that she has an unapproachable demeanor (shy, aloof, sour, etc).

    I have friends of all shapes and sizes who get hit on constantly in no small part because they will make eye contact, smile and appear to be interested in everyone.

    People like me who can't look another human being in the eyes can't turn a head no matter how short my skirt is.
