Accountabillibuddies! Starting my journey

Hey y'all. I've been off and on here for... Well.. Ages. I am at the saddening weight of 280 at age 23. I have tried weight loss before and each time I just kinda... Fall out.

This is my attempt at trying again. This time I am hoping people in the community can help me.

So I guess advice from the kind people here will work. My main issue right now is that I live with my parents that have an odd diet. They are pescatarian, and meat wise only eat fish or eggs. I am not, but I have minimal say in what food comes into the house. Now, most would say that's great! Unfortunately they aren't big veggie eaters either. Typical day is breakfast and lunch made on my own, then dinner would be cooked fish, frozen veggies (small amount) and Potatoes.

That being said, I can't change what's for dinner, but I can change Breakfast and Lunch. I am starting with introducing meal replacement shakes from Slim Fast for breakfast. Not only do I hope that will curb my appetite, but it will be light on my wallet for when I move into the dorms for school

So right now what I am looking for is help keeping me accountable, advice on easy exercises that don't involve any equipment, and maybe suggestions on lunches. If I like the shakes, I may also make them my lunch if they work well enough so all I am physically eating is dinner and a healthy snack of some kind... But I'm not sure.

I'm not new to diets, but so far the only thing that ever worked was low carb, but living here it may be near impossible for a low carb so I would just like to start on small changes.

Any help and such would be loved.
Thanks~
Remmy

Hi Remmy! My name is Kim and my weight loss journey began two years ago. I was at my heaviest (225) and things were not good. I couldn't keep up with my kids, I was tired all the time, and my doctor told me that my cholesterol was on the rise! I decided something needed to change. I started walking, and eventually doing some weight training. I am down over 75 pounds! I feel so much better, and I love supporting and encouraging people to do the same. I would be happy to be an accountability partner with you. I still have some weight to lose, so we can work at it together! Getting your nutrition under control is a big key to losing weight. I can share what has worked for me if you are interested. If you work hard, I know you can reach your goal! So what do ya say? Are you in?
