I swim because I can't stand bouncing all over. Drives me bonkers.

I also wear sports bras as everyday bras because of their compression.

So you aren't going to lose weight through diet but you are going to lose weight through exercise?

Just so you know, you only lose weight through a calorie deficit. A deficit is a deficit whether that deficit is attained through food decrease or through exercise increase.

Just as you can't spot reduce, you can't spot keep. If you want to get smaller overall, you might have to sacrifice some of your breasts' size but it's entirely dependent on your genetics. If your breasts are mainly composed of fat, they will get significantly smaller. If your breasts are mainly composed of breast tissue, then they won't get much smaller.

Look to your family history. Do the women in your family have large chests when a normal wieght or do they have small chests. That can be a good indicator.

Keep looking for a good bra/bras or do something less impacting because improperly supported breasts will sag sooner than properly supported breasts. Good luck.

    Signed,
    another big boobed chick

This is also good advice. The genetics matter. All women on my mother and father's sides of the family have big boobs regardless of their size. They just get a tiny bit smaller with weight loss.

Apart of the fact they can be annoying at times I really love them and I'm scared to lose them so I can't really be on diet because they might get smaller... So all I do to lose weight is exercising. Therefore I'd be happy if you could help me find a solution.

This does not make sense. Whether you lose weight through exercise or diet, you are still losing the same fat. How much you lose in your breasts depends on genetics, not what method you use to create a calorie deficit.

I would suggest trying different sports bras until you find one that works for you. I used to wear 2 bras to exercise until I found Moving Comfort brand, which keeps my girls right where they should be. Also, use weights or resistance bands to work the muscles in your chest and back. This will help with support as you lose fat.

I have to disagree with everyone here. Two bras didn't work for me, and was rather uncomfortable. I love the CW-X sport bras. They have ones specifically made for high impact exercise (as well as medium/low) only downside is, they only go up to about an E cup.

It doesn't technically make sense, but I understand her thought process and where she is coming from when I think back to when I started out with all of this.

I agree that lifting weights and walking should not be a problem and will help you with fitness. Maybe yoga as well. And swimming as others mentioned (if you have access to a pool). If you lose weight, you will get all over smaller, but you won't lose your breasts.

GG cup here... I buy a good quality one (but not fanciest/highest priced, I found those don't work at all for me) like Champion brand. Getting the style that the entire thing is a strong flexible weave. Not the thin ones. The thicker weave that has sort of a dry-mesh feel to it, but solid. Sorry, I can't find a model number on the darn things I have.

Then I buy them 2 sizes too small.

Tight enough that it involves wrestling into and out of and while on my breasts are squeezed tight, but it's not so small that I feel constricted in breathing or moving. My breasts are just locked down well.

With exercises that involve a lot of bounce like plyometrics or anything with up & down movement, they still do move... but not enough to hurt and not enough to make any big deal. They're going to move no matter what, short of wearing an actual binder and trust me you don't want to exercise hard in one of those. Or at all.

But yes, the firm but breathable Champion sports bras 2 sizes too small.

I'm a largely endowed lady as well. I usually go for the regular bra along with a sports bra. However sometimes I will pair up two tight fitting sports bras if the activity is going to be very high impact. There is usually still some bounce, but its not overly painful.
I avoid no workout. Wont do it.

I lift, walk, run, bike, swim, yoga, 30 day shred, and insanity. Boobs shall not stop my awesomeness!

I'll second the Panache Sport Bra recommendation. It's not quite enough for me -- personally, I'm going to stick to walking, cycling, and weight lifting until I go down a few cup sizes and impact exercise becomes more comfortable/feasible. But the Panache bra is still more effective than anything else I've tried, and it also looks good!

I'm BUSTY, we're talking iCups..I will only buy Freya high impact maximum support sports bra. You have to pay a price, but definitely worth it...I run, do jazzercise, jump on a trampoline, etc, etc...and have no problem with bounce.

I know you said you've tried sport bras before... but I have F cups with a 32" ribcage (it's strange being a pear with big breasts). I used to wear two bras to workout and even that wasn't perfect.

I FINALLY found a sport bra that works! Victoria Secret VSX bra. I wear the 34 DD and my girls DO NOT MOVE. AT ALL. It's crazy!

The bra has under-wire in the first layer with good cups. Then a second layer of fabric is stretched over the first to hold it all together. The straps are adjustable convertible on the back and I always wear mine with them crossed. But go try it on first. Jump around in the change room, try to shimmy and swing them around haha. That's another benefit of trying the heavy duty sports bras at VS.. you can try them on and don't have to buy them first. Plus they do carry larger sizes than most other bra stores (here at least).

The bra does run at about $70 (in Canada) but I'd never go back to any other kind.

    Favourite things about this bra:

    1) No movement
    2) Great quality - not a stick has come out of place and I've had it for a while and have not experienced stretching
    3) Adjustable
    4) It has less of a "uni-boob" look to it when you have it on than every single other sports bra I've tried.
    5) Good coverage - I don't fall out, I MIGHT even feel comfortable using without a shirt (but I'm extremely modest).

The only problems I have with this bra are:

    1) Expensive... but all of my bras are so I suck it up
    2) It's fairly difficult to get it on with the straps crossed. I have to lift each breast into the cups as I'm putting it on and hold them there as I fasten behind my back.
    3) While the bra doesn't move, I get chafing on one armpit. The edge fabric (which I'm sure adds support too) is pretty stiff. But maybe it's the specific bra that I got. It only happens on the one side. But I am also getting more used to it and it's not as bothersome as it was when I first bought it.

I hope you have a chance to try it out and end up liking it!

if you lose weight at all, they will shrink, whether you diet or exercise or both.

not always true...if your breasts are made up of mostly dense tissue rather than fat tissue, they will not shrink (unless you get down to a % fat seen in bodybuilding), in fact they will appear to be bigger, because your rib cage will shrink as it loses fat without the breasts themselves shrinking, this in turn will cause a smaller band size but bigger cup size for the bra.

Ignoring the rest and just going for the advice ---

Check out the brand Shock Absorber. I own three of these, and regularly run, sprint, jump rope, box, and box jump without any pain or discomfort. They have cup sizes from A to HH.

this ^^^ is true..if they wer big before you gained weight then theyre not always going to go down when you lose weight again and as suggested.. 2 bras and tight sports wear tops have stronger material.. strap them tight. i use a balconette with a good sports bra over the top then a couple of tight sportswear vest tops. Its not ideal and you cant do alot of jumping high impact stuff .

I came to this thread out of curiosity, and then saw a bunch of suggestions so got a little excited... but then found myself so very disappointed :( <<<disappointed because of those I searched out, none of them actually carry that big. Big cup sizes, but bands are lacking

I wear a 52J right now. My bust actually grows as I workout, and it drives me crazy. Up 4 inches on the boobs in the last year and a half, while down at least an inch everywhere else (I have to lose A LOT before I lose a lot in inches). I have very dense boobs, estimated at over 50lbs of my bodyweight in breasticle tissue alone... and that estimate was a couple cup sizes ago, when I looked into reduction surgery. Losing weight overall definitely doesn't guarantee smaller boobs... I've lost about 70 lbs, and my bra size is bigger now than it was before.

To those that suggested it, even if it is medically necessary (mine is considered such) you cannot always get approval and clearance for it when you are fat. Doctors may advocate for it, but the insurance companies are hesitant to approve them if you need a significant reduction, and you have a lot of weight to lose still. I was denied 3 times, even after testimony from spinal specialists stated that in order to fix my spine, I would need to get rid of the weight on my chest.

Anyway, my solutions are... 1) Do smoother exercises, 2) tone the pectorals and upper back, because sometimes the extra bounce can happen from poor body posture, 3) regular full coverage minimizer + support tank in at least 1 size too small.

#3 may sound weird but it is seriously the best things I ever found for myself. Minimizer bras (which almost every bra my size is so...) are very restrictive to start with, and don't allow much movement if they are worn properly. Support tanks are very fitted, and getting one in a size smaller than you need or lower (I wear a 4X-5X for my tatas but use a XXL tank) basically gives you a torso length sports bra, instead of just in the boob area. I find the extra length of support helps a lot in managing stability.

At my thinnest, I was a 32H and I used to wear a normal underwire bra under a cheap sports bra that was at least two sizes too small. Yes, I got pancaked in, but that was the point. Compress them to the point that they didn't bounce more than I did.

The only sagging that occurred was due to nursing a child, losing a crap ton of weight, and getting older. Not from jumping up and down.

Well, there is the obvious - breast reduction surgery. If medically needed - to allevite pain, spinal issues - might be covered by your medical insurance. We expect my older daughter will have that surgery in the future (I thought she was a 32 GGG but wife said nope - her cup size is bigger than that).
