hello everyone. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Robert. I am the guy you all are talking about that lost the weight. I rarely respond to what people say or comment on when it comes to this, but i figured I would. I mentioned in my interview that I couldn't get on an airplane, or that i couldn't get on a roller coaster. You all are right, i couldn't. In the interview I didn't say that I tried and couldn't. my common sense told me there was no way I could fit in an airplane seat, or on a carnival ride. I was bed ridden for a good amount of the time I weighed that much. I lived in a long term nursing facility for years because I couldn't take care of myself. One person above said that it seemed vague when it comes to the skin removal. Well, I would be more than glad to post video of the skin removal surgeries. I have documentation and video of my entire journey. Now that I have an established career as a chef, it helps me tremendously with staying healthy and being vigilant in my journey to help others. If I can help anyone with menu planning or anything associated with weightloss....I would be more than happy to help. You guys stay blessed.

Robert- Wow, good for you. I can't imagine what a nightmare. I'm curious-- In the nursing home, were you able to get around enough to serve yourself or do they bring you the foods you ask for? It seems odd that a health care facility wouldn't be able to limit your intake and help you lose. Not that surgery is any sort of shortcut, but I've just always wondered how people get the calories to maintain those sizes when they rely on caregivers almost exclusively, or family. Congrats on your success!

I had seen this man on a show last year (?) and saw this in the news a few weeks ago...so sad.

That's sad! I watched the show about him and he seemed like such a nice guy. Hadn't he just gotten married or something?

I'm curious about the enabling aspect. For example, the show about the 600 pound teenager whose mother was buying, preparing and feeding him the food. Isn't that child abuse? If an adult wants to overeat, it's their choice, but a teenager or child???
