Gisele 1600 calories a day

Hello I'm hoping someone can explain to me why gisele only eats 1600 calories a day for maintenance if she'll be at least around 1350 BMR as tall then as she exercises surely she should be on at the very least around 1850 to maintain her weight?

Actually in her profession - I am surprised she eats so much. You are right 1600 is not a lot based on her height/activity but celebs etc are know for keeping the weight really in check. I guess at 1600 she can control it and not have the endless on/off diets all the time in preparation for something big.0

Two pieces of advice:
1) Never, never, NEVER take what is said about a celebrity's health and fitness routine, whether it be what they eat, what exercise they do, or how much they weigh as being true in any way, shape, or form, even if the celebrity is staring deep into your eyes with their hand on a stack of weightlifter's bibles as they say it. They will go to extreme measures to achieve the look they want, because that is their JOB. Five pounds is the difference between being hot and being on the cover of US Weekly as "fat and out of shape."
2) Most female celebrities are caught in a dangerous cycle, because the body image required of them is to be stick thin -- not muscular and healthy, but with no muscular development whatsoever. Muscles show up on HD screens. So they have to eat very little and can't exercise it away.

Thank you that's all very helpful, like many others I've read about in the maintain forum I've only just started to maintain and am scared about weight gain from eating to much!0

If you start to gain, you're eating too much. Just scale down 100 calories. Repeat until you continue to maintain. It's all trial and error and we're all different. So just do you and don't worry about what others are doing.0
