I'm making slow cooker salsa chicken tommorrow but I want to add some veggies. I know that onion and celery can go in early on.....but what about mushrooms? when should they be added to the crock pot so they turn out the best?

What about broccoli or cauliflower can those even go in a crock pot dish?

thanks!

I would put the mushrooms in later. :) As for salsa chicken I don't know if I'd add broccoli or cauliflower to it. I don't think it'd go very well with salsa.

Actually put the mushrooms in early... mushrooms soak up a lot of flavor, the longer you cook em the more flavor.. no to the broccoli but I would add like some green and red bell peppers.. yummy

Brocolli & cauliflower could go in, but again, those would have to be added later otherwise they completely break apart. I would go w/the bell peppers as well
