So after watching Portugal vs USA earlier....

I spent most of the game just hoping it would end in a tie...

    (...what a dreadful early gift/goal...)

...and have spent the time since the game bemoaning how we were *so* close to having our ticket punched early to get out of the group. Would have been very nice for the game against Germany to be mostly inconsequential. Oh well. Perhaps we'll have our best game yet and find a way to draw.

I probably should be rooting for the USA for the Thursday game, but the Germans have always been consistently great.....

That game's gonna be awkward for Klinsmann!

    "And Germany win 2-0."
    "Ja!! Er... Nein!!"

Klinsmann should have done that back in 2006!

I can't even begin to imagine what happens if the USA win tonight. I really hope it's not going to happen.

Germany 2-0 is a solid prediction.

I just hope that it's wrong.

Yeah, the odds aren't looking good for USA. That said, anything can happen.

Maybe the odds to win aren't great, but the odds to advance are reasonable.

Go Ghana!!!!!! We kick USA butt every time we meet. Thanks USA for donating easy 3 points to us. I can't wait until Monday. Okay now let's be honest, there's NO way USA will beat Germany or Portugal or Ghana. This will be a very bad world cup for USA. Please don't be surprise if you guys don't win a single game. Ghana all the way.

Plus I will not cheat/go over my calories while watching this world cup. NO alcohol or chips for me!!!!!!!

I hope you at least made your calorie goals... :flowerforyou:

I've found it really difficult to get into the world cup this year... usually I watch it avidly.

Must be something to do with England being so crap this year. Jeez I remember back in 86 when we actually stood a chance of winning (ROBBED by Diego Maradonna.... but at least we stood a freaking chance... this year we're a joke.....)

I had high hopes for England this year, they were really disapointing indeed

disappointing is a very kind word for it

    Suarez is crazy man...

And definatly needs to eat more before a match, maybe then he would not need to eat Italian Food on the field

So glad this snob soccer player got send back home.
He may be a great player, but his attitude.... jeez

Give me Robben or Messi anyday over him.
If Netherlands are lucky enough to make it to the Final then Robben has a good change of becoming player of the year

i used to think the same thing...

but did you know that that buzzed Sin this picture is to show support to a fan of his who is battling brain cancer? the S is to mimic the scar the kid is going to have after getting a tumor removed.

and that the reason Christiano Ronaldo doesn't have tattoo's is because he donates blood as often as he can. he doesn't want to have to wait a year that a tattoo will cost him in donation time.

I've never been a fan of him... but maybe he's not that bad.

I have got to be the worst German ever. I never watch football, not even every four years, I am not rooting for Germany, and I didn't even know there was a game last night...

I am currently supporting any European team.

For the France v Germany match, I'm going with France as I have some French friends.

That said, I don't really give a **** any more.
