pushing through a plateau

So I have the a wall-- a plateau that I can't seem to move past. Unlike some people in here my friends are not supportive. They say things like "how long do you think this working out thing will last?" or instead of complimenting me on the progress I have made they say "you look better". So no real support there. Instead, I thought I would ask what are people are doing to push through their plateau. Here are the things I have done today to try to jumpstart my losing again.
I reminded my self of what I used to look like by pulling out pics
I reminded my self that the wall is only one side I may not be losing but if I stop there is no wall to stop me from gaining
I switched around my workout routine
I increased my vitamin C

Thank you for that. I too am going through a plateau and feeling a bit down so the wall comment about it being one sided helped spur me on.0
