Can't Seem To Lose The Belly Pooch..

I've been trying so hard to work out 5-6 days a week and eat clean. I am now eating way better than I used to, of course I'm pretty impulsive and will eat some bad food here and there and then after i'll feel horrible about it because i'm trying to lose this last extra 10 lbs. I've been doing this about a month and haven't seen any progress. I do cardio 3-4 times a week and strength about 4-5 days. I can't seem to get rid of the stubborn little patch of fat over my lower belly. It's so frustrating! (It's the same with my inner thighs) In the morning my stomach looks perfect but as soon as i eat a moderate meal I bloat. I'm bloated seriously 24/7, I try to drink water throughout the day. Should I be trying harder? Is there something I'm doing wrong? I wanna lose this fat for good, I'm tired of sucking it in all the time, and the lack of progress just makes me less motivated. ugh

Hey, I was having the same problem! I know you can't spot lose but I was seriously working hard to get rid of the lower belly and it just wouldn't seem to go. I had a nutritionist look at 3 or 4 days of my food and nutrition plan. The first thing she said was that I couldn't possibly eat any cleaner the next thing she said was "Wow, you eat a lot of fruit!" So, I can't see your diary but if you're eating a lot of fruit that might be the cause. I was eating more than a serving a day. I know fruit is really good for you but I eliminated all fruit for a week or so just to see what would happen and guess what... the belly pooch was gone! Turned out that it was the sugar in the fruit I was eating... I do eat fruit now but just stick to some berries in my morning yogurt and a couple times a week I'll have an apple or something else.
And yeah, losing that last 5 or 10 pounds is really difficult! Just keep at it.... it will be slow but it will come off.
Hope this helps.0 -
I feel your pain. I had three kids and it is the hardest to lose. I will tell you this: it goes down. Just keep at it and slowly but surely it goes down.0

Not sure what you mean by eating clean? However if you are eating whole grain wheat, that can bloat ! Yes I know it is supposed to be good for us, etc but try other grains for a few days to see if it makes a difference.0

Look at what'd your eating and try adjusting it. For example, Are you eating toast first thing every morning? Gluten might be a bloat trigger for you. Milk or other dairy? Try cutting it out for a few days and see if you feel better. Mine is sodium. I love salt and all sodium filled foods, but dang it makes my stomach puffy.0

And there's no magic trick or standard thing that works. Different things work for different folks. I have to stay away from sugars/carbs but I am not effected at all by sodium or dairy. Just trial and error and find what works for you.0

Two kids. I lost the belly by losing weight - it came off last, but it came off in the end. "Eating clean" won't make you lose weight, eating fewer calories will.0

Sorry for the late reply, but thanks for bringing this up because I also eat a lot of fruit! I'll try and cut back and see if this helps (: thanks!!!0
