Peeves me too. Don't even get me started on "I couldn't care less" vs. "I could care less".
See, colloquial usage never bothers me. Sure, it should be "I couldn't care less" but we all know what someone means when they say "I could care less." Language changes over time, and that's fine. It's crazy spelling that does it for me. "Defiantly" is not "definitely." Nor is "definately." Neither of those will ever be "definitely." Well, they might, actually. Language evolves. But for now they are terrible and I will continue to be grumpy about them.0
