loose and lose are 2 different words, and it seems people always get them mixed up. I cant help that this a pet peeve. Is anyone else bothered by this?

    Loose - adjective \ˈlüs\
: not tightly fastened, attached, or held

: not pulled or stretched tight

of clothing : not fitting close to your body : not tight

    Lose- verb \ˈlüz\
: to be unable to find (something or someone)

: to fail to win (a game, contest, etc.)

You should probably steer clear of the rest of the Internet, less you witness things like there, their, and they're.

I have a friend that says "bolivious" ALL the time ... she's quite "oblivious" that she's pronouncing the word wrong.

I recently had a Jehovah's Witness drop by out of the blue to teach me about how "Amstradamous" was all wrong with his predictions of the future.

Peeves me too. Don't even get me started on "I couldn't care less" vs. "I could care less".

Peeves me too. Don't even get me started on "I couldn't care less" vs. "I could care less".

See, colloquial usage never bothers me. Sure, it should be "I couldn't care less" but we all know what someone means when they say "I could care less." Language changes over time, and that's fine. It's crazy spelling that does it for me. "Defiantly" is not "definitely." Nor is "definately." Neither of those will ever be "definitely." Well, they might, actually. Language evolves. But for now they are terrible and I will continue to be grumpy about them.
