Can someone recommend me a work out routine?

Hi, I'm new to lifting. I'm 5 ft 7 and 175 lbs. I'm looking to get down to 160 lbs and would just like to get in shape/toned. I just lost 40 lbs from walking and eating a diet of 1200 calories for 5 months. I work nights so in the evening when I wake up it's pretty much breakfast time and a few hours later at night I plan on going before work. Or even after work in the morning before bed. So what types of work outs should I be doing when I get a gym membership soon?
