Is this a bad way to try to lose weight?

You've stated before that you don't like diets. Why would this change now? You lose weight by eating less than you burn. It's TOTAL CALORIES that count here and that doesn't mean you have to be on a fruit only diet. And could you sustain just eating fruit the rest of your life? I truly doubt it which is why 90% of people who try restrictive diets (cutting out of foods they actually enjoy) regain weight.I want to eat fruits only in order to lose weight and to just do cardio 6 days a week. Would that be okay or is it bad?

If you have to ask, "Is this a bad idea?" you already have a pretty good idea that it is.0
