sorry if my question sounds dumb.
as long as i lose weight and reach my required weight based on my height, will I get 6 packs?
or must i do certain specific exercises to get 6 packs?

You need to have muscle first. As in, you need your abs to be somewhat developed for them to "pop".
If you haven't yet, incorporate some ab work in your training routine.0 -
