I am holding myself back.

I am holding myself back. I have come to the realization that I am considering my weight in most decisions in make lately. We talked about going to an amusement park. My first thing was to look at the rides and figure out what I would and wouldn't be able to fit in. I was looking for a new camping chair. The first thing I looked at was the weight capacity. I was looking for a hammock for the back yard. None filmy weight. I am disgusted with myself for many reasons. First that I let myself get into this shape. Second, that I am having to make these arrangements when planning things or buying things. Third, because I am holding my family back, or at least I feel that way. I am pretty mad at myself right now. Thank you for reading my rant. If anyone would like to be friends for motivation or support I will be around for quite awhile.

I was there too. Still a work in progress but at the risk of being overly dramatic, I'm now a better husband and father....0 -

You made some very good points, that most people don't have to make those kind of decisions, and ones that I have never really had to think about myself. I watch a lot of the overweight shows on television, and no one has ever mentioned that--(i have to think about what kind of chair I am going to be sitting in) will it support my weight. They all state: How did I let myself get into this kind of shape, along with what have I done to my family?
It's difficult to admit that to yourself. You've done it. And I think half the battle to weight loss is facing that reality. It's the grab the bull by the horns and do something about it moment.
Anyway, it's just calories in versus calories out. It's impossible NOT to lose weight if you're consuming less calories than you're burning. Eat less--move more.0 -
Love your truth! I know it's not easy. :flowerforyou:

You pretty much nailed some of the reasons I finally decided to adopt this lifestyle change.
Feel free to friend me and we shall row the boat together.

Be miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it's always your choice.

It's about moderation not deprivation. There are no good/bad foods, only bad eating habits. Do or do not, there is no try. You have to want it, you have to work for it, you have to realize that only you can do it.
