I tumbled. I want to be able to do a hand stand, and I've always been afraid of the falling part. After tumbling yesterday afternoon, I wasn't as scared to try handstands. Still a work in progress.0

Bicycled to the top of a mountain without stopping.
OK, technically a mountain: Mount Holyoke. 1.9 miles, 770 feet of climbing from the river valley to the summit, 7.8% average grade, 12.5% maximum grade. You people who live in the Rockies, the Andes, or the Alps have my permission to laugh.0 -
I have two today
I was feeling really, really frustrated this morning because I got on the scale and saw I had gone UP in weight instead of down. I almost cried, realizing that this is the most consistent I have been in my life getting my butt in gear and really working out. I am doing 30DS and was only planning to measure Day 1 and Day 30 but I was so stressed I decided to measure my hips to see if I was getting bigger. I am down TWO INCHES - and I'm just over halfway through the 30 days!
I also did the elliptical today, for some extra cardio. I was going along, watching Bizarre Food and doing my thing ... when I noticed I was on the elliptical for 30 minutes ... and didn't want to get off. A few weeks ago, I was staring the timer down and couldn't wait to get off. I have never gotten lost in exercise and actually liked it before. It's always been a chore.0 -

I'm still new - 25 days logged in a row - but what really was great for me this week was that I didn't even think about food really, I just ate healthily and came in well under my goal most days. It sure would be nice if this lasted! I think that cutting out sweets and processed food has made an enormous difference in my hunger level. It is just nice to not feel like I'm "giving something up" when I don't have a donut.0

I ran my first ever 5K and completed it in 39 minutes (slow, but I ran the entire way).0

I was able to wrap a normal sized bath towel around myself and tuck it in and be completely covered! I haven't been able to do that in probably 15 yrs!
Oh my gosh this one! I would love to be able to say that! July is horrendous here and I normally don't venture out after 2pm if I don't have to do anything important. Today I did all my yard work, showered, went to get more plants, came home and spent an hr in the blazing sun planting them and had a blast. Second shower later and I am sitting here looking at forums as reward because I did great today!!!0 -
Finally, finally made it to the gym during lunch. I fought it (contacted all my regular lunch buddies and they all said no) but I could have just eaten lunch at my desk and skipped but I went, I went, I went!!!0

I am down 3 inches in my waist, 3 inches in my hips, an inch on my thighs and an inch on my chest.
My trainer was so surprised about my waist he measured it 3 times!0 -

Just went to the shop to buy icecream and a guy walks in and stands next to me. Says to the lady serving me "why do all the pretty girls get served first?" I told him to get a pony tail. lol0

My husband brought home leftover pizza from work, and I had already eaten my dinner and met my calorie targets, and I didn't eat any, although I was sorely tempted.0

Sorry for the long intro, I've never posted about my journey before:
I started my weight loss journey shortly after having my son in Feb 2013. I started at 5'3 175 lbs. Pre-pregnancy I was around 135-140 lbs for years. Initially I had lost 20 lbs in 3 months but was battling postpartum depression and it took over my life. I could never understand depression until I was thrust into the thick of it. I was unable to even leave my house most days and would lay in bed and cry for days and weeks on end, only getting up to do the necessities. This was my second child and I have never experienced anything like this before. I had always been easy going and very social in my life. I knew in my head I was being crazy and could do nothing to stop it. I was at my whits end as was my husband. He had and has been as supportive as humanly possible. So after a year of going back and forth I finally "woke" up. It was as if the haze had lifted. I had been living in yoga pants and t-shirts for the past year so when I finally weighed myself I had ballooned up to 185 lbs. With changing my diet and turning to exercise I have dropped 25 lbs in the last 75 days. My attitude has changed and I am happy again. I am now about 160 lbs give or take and I still have about 30ish lbs to go but today I feel GOOD. I fit into a couple of pre-pregnancy jeans and shorts. Maybe not comfortably but they buttoned. And that is a victory for me. ( My profile pic is me at my goal weight.)0 -
Not sure if this counts, but I took some progress pictures and was able to see some small changes from the 13 pounds lost between pictures. It pleased me to see the differences because I don't quite feel like anything is changing.
Also, I avoided cupcakes.0 -
I know this isn't huge, but I did not overeat today! Lately ,I have problems controlling myself..
oh... I bought new bras which are a size smaller then I used to have .. Not a bad day!!!0 -
My husband wanted to go mountain biking tonight. Usually that means a quiet night in a hot bath with my book. I was super excited. When he got home, he asked if I'd drive him to the top of the mountain and pick him up at the bottom. I was slightly disappointed, but agreed.
While he was biking, I drove to the bottom, then jogged the lower trails! I felt awesome after. Finally got to use my trail running shoes for their intended purpose!0 -
Today I walked two miles, which is the most I can ever remember. About a month ago my doctor told me about the myfitnesspal app, and my husband and I decided to start walking. We are now walking every day and adding more and more time gradually. In our neighborhood we have a mile long yard sale today, and we have some family friends that live a mile away at the end. We decided to walk over to their house and then walk back. When we got there, they weren't home, so we turned around and came directly back, and I realized with his gps tracker that we had actually walked two miles. An unfreakingbelievable thing for two people who live on video games and barely left the house before except for the grocery store a month ago. We both feel our legs becoming stronger and springier. Not only that, but at the end of our walk we aren't panting. So glad we started all this.0

I didn't step on the scale today. Big-time NSV.0

I did 80 Burpees. This 30 day challenge is awesome. You should give it a go. Day 1 you start with five burpees, day 2 ten burpees. Increase by 5 each day but rest every 5th day.0
