Shine Night Walk

I enjoy walking and at the moment walk for shops/exercise for nearly 3 hrs sometimes (once in a week) and do enjoy that. I am thinking of joining London's Shine Night Walk of Sept 2014. Is anyone joining from MFP?

I am really interested to do this walk for charity and for understanding my ability. I am little worried if I would be able to finish the walk but I am ready to train. It will really help if I know if anyone else is joining from here to boost my confidence!

Me! (and my SIL and her mum)

I'm doing the half marathon. I started training early so am already up to 9 miles (today in fact!), I wasn't sure if I'd cope very well, hence starting early

Do you have a smartphone? I've been using the mapmywalk app to measure what I'm doing, and the training plan on the Shine website for a guide. You could try doing a 2-3 mile walk and see how you feel?

    Thanks for your reply, jennyblacker

I already do 2 miles once or twice a week. I am planning to do longer walk on monday and see how I feel. If I feel alright I will register :-) I really wish to do this walk so lets see how it goes.

I hv the app you mentioned on my phone and its useful. I will use the training plan on the Shine website, its nice as well.

Btw have you done this walk earlier? If yes, how was it?

Ack, sorry, I didn't realise MFP doesn't tell you when there's a reply!

I'll pm you my email address so you can add me on mapmywalk :)

This is my first walk, it's my "I'm not longer ruled by a back injury" defiance!
