Hi, its my first time on this site and was recommended by a friend, who also uses this site and has said he has had sucess with it. Anyways, I was a fit flat stomach, yet was told by a neighbor, I would have to get lipo to get rid of it because I am already a good weight. I honestly want to look good in a bikini for next summer's holiday I'm going to. I do have a child who is now 5 and though I've always been thin before having her, I always had that dreaded stomach pouch.(as you can see in my profile pic)Can anyone give me advice?

Lift heavy weights. Put them down...repeat.0

That's not a bad stomach at all. Maybe try some weights and see how it goes? You can't spot reduce, but you can build up muscle.
Dakotababy beat me to it. :grumble:0 -
No lipo. For someone at a healthy weight, you need to focus on lifting heavy weights in order to change your body composition.0

Lifting heavy? I've seen some of the strongest lifters with big stomachs.0

My stomach area is the worst for me. I started strength training about 2 months ago (using body weight only for now) and I am really seeing a difference in the belly.0

That's because they're constantly eating at a surplus in order to build muscle. Fat comes along with the muscle.0 -

So should I eat a deficit?0 -
The only way you'll get a flat stomach is with a calorie deficit.0

besides what everybody else has said...do you by chance have any food allergies? I know this might be a long shot...but I have days with bloated stomach like yours because of certain food allergy: dairy, gluten, yeast just for few...0

Omg OP, this is like the FIFTH thread you've started on wanting help on achieving a flat belly. (On a different account,; but I recognize your belly pic and the kitchen background. You've been here before, asking the same questions.) In every thread, people have given you excellent advice, which you seem to delight in ignoring and then just starting new threads. Please stop this nonsense. Please DO start listening to the advice being given. Lift heavy weights regularly, eat at a moderate deficit, weigh your food, and be patient. And please let this be the END of the flat belly threads, already. Please. You have all the information you need for success, now stop pestering people. Go do the work. Good luck on your goals, I sincerely wish you all the best.0

I just edited my post, sorry for the confusion0 -
Eat foods high in fiber. Beans 3X a day for 7 days should help. Also magnesium is known fight inflammation, another factor in belly fat.0
-
Magnesium actually has a mild laxative effect. I seriously doubt that it helps " inflammation" but it is an important mineral that many people are deficient in.
OP- have you had your body fat checked? I think you're either going to need to lose body fat or gain muscle. It's that simple.0 -

Yeah, I see that a lot too so it kind of annoys me that random people just pop in here and say "lift heavy. bye"0 -

You should lift heavy. Bye.
Oh, eat right.
What's right though?
Now THAT is the question. Bye.0
