two peoples, two diets, is this healthy?

Okay, so a friend of mine just recently started seeing the same nutritionist that I see. Just for the sake of this conversation I will call him buddy because, well he is my buddy.
So Buddy sees the same nutritionist as I do where she goes over correct serving sizes of different things. Like how much is in an actual cup. and how to estimate 6 ounces of meat just looking at your hand. Same with a tablespoon. It's very interesting. We also talk about different ways to cut calories.
A month ago, I found a guy buddy that lives in my dorm also sees the same nutritionist. One day I was getting biscuits and gravy which I had calculated into my calorie intake for the day. He said to me watch those carbs girl. Remember what the nutritionist said. Yes, the nutritionist did talk to me about trying to switch to whole grain.
I notice Buddy seems to eat a whole lot more than my calories allow for. So I of course confronted him. Like for example today, everything in the dorm is served cafeteria style. For breakfast he gets a stack of pancakes. It looks like he's eating from an IHOP commercial with 6 or seven pancakes. Then he gets clover honey and pours a whole lot of honey on his pancakes. When I ask him, he says oh honey is natural and better than syrup. (in my opinion you can't use all the honey in the world because of the sugar)
So tonight we have sausage links with potatoes mixed with veggies and mushrooms. I see him get two plates stacked high with potatoes and veggies. When I confront him (I confront him because he confronts me when I eat something i'm not supposed to)
He says Oh i didn't eat lunch today. Sometimes I only eat once or twice a day.
The reason this upsets me is because I'm on a diet and i'm smaller than he is yet I can't eat as much as he does. I also wanted to know if only eating one or two meals a day is healthy.
Should I confront him more? Should I say here try this sugar free syrup instead of honey?

Males have higher calorie needs than women, and the bigger you are, the more calories you need. If the nutritionist is doing her job your calorie goal and his ought to be very different.0 -
He's a guy, and bigger than you, of course he can eat more. And more importantly, what do you care? Mind your own business, plenty there to keep you busy.

You just said it, you're smaller than he is - so you require less calories. The diet you've been given is the diet calculated for you based on weight, height, gender, exercise levels, etc. Do you think there's one diet to suit every single person whether you're a 6 ft muscular bound weight lifter or a small, cardio athlete?0

If you were the same size and activity level and you ate 6 meals a day and he ate 2 then yes his meals would obviously need to be higher calorie.
And no, only eating 2 meals a day is not an issue.0 -

Half of the replies were not helpful. Do you want your friend to confront you about when he feels you are outside your limits and vice versa? For me, There's very few people I would want commenting on my diet. If he isn't one them, I would ask him to stop. Be polite about it and just tell him that you are within the regulations set out by your nutritionist and your food intake is of none of his concern. Does he want you commenting on his food intake? My advice is that the nutritionist is paid to develop these programs for each individual. As long as you abide by the restrictions set for you, I wouldnt concern myself with what your friend is eating. i think its stressing you out. Focus on what you're doing and meeting your goals and let buddy do what he needs to do. I think if you continue to monitor your friends food, you'll become jealous and give up on what youre trying to do. Hang in there. There's a reason your nutritionist laid out your pgroam. Stick to it and you'll be good.0

Men usually eat more calories than women. Don't worry yourself about his diet. If he's making you uncomfortable when he confronts you - tell him that. You should both just focus on yourselves. Its enough effort to concentrate on your own diet as it is.0

A) men get more calories than women, they have a higher metabolism (generally)
heavier people get more calories than lighter people
C) meal timing and frequency are irrelevant, if he chooses to eat all his calories in one meal or six, doesn't matter
D) you do not know what the nutritionist has told him for his plan, your plan SHOULD be different from his
E) unless he has specifically asked you to police his intake, mind your own business, he is a grown up and can do what he wants0 -
The nutritionist will have personalised your diet plans based on your goals, height, weight, gender, activity levels, lifestyle, etc.etc. you focus on your goal and your plan and leave your buddy to do the same.
Trust that he knows what he's doing and is following the advice he's received.0 -
