Can anyone please explain to me why?

I have tracked every morsel that has passed my lips. I have not gone over 1800cals a day. I have exercised ie swim for an hour, and yet I gained 1.1 k which is just over 2lb in weight in a week. I could understand if I had cheated but I swear that absolutely everything I have eaten has been logged. I am 5 foot 5inch. I weigh 339lbs if the math is correct I can eat only 770 cals a day to maintain. to lose 1lb a week then that has to reduce to 270cals a day. This is ridiculous. I have eaten an average of 1558 calories a day. to gain the amount of weight I have gained I would have needed to have eaten 7000 over maintenance.

Help please because this is going around and around in my head.

I do not weight everyday
I drink plenty of water
I don't do soda
I ensure I have adequate protein
I take a vitamin suppliment.

umm, normal weight gain, could be sodium, hormones,
your body weight can fluctuate by as much as 10lbs.

You need to look for downward trends, not just the fluctuations.

Weigh yourself under the same circumstances at the same time every time you do it, wearing the same clothes. I usually weigh first thing in the morning, after i do everything in the bathroom but before i get dressed. Weight can vary so much even in one day.

What math are you using exactly at your weight that you're only getting 700ish calories to maintain and thus needing 200ish to lose....I think you ****ed something up in your math. I'm 180 Lbs and without exercise I maintain on roughly 2300-2400 calories per day...your math is jacked and you're not inputting something correctly into the calculator. Garbage in, garbage out....at your weight, your maintenance is well over 2500 and probably well over 3000 calories per day...again...math is jacked.

Are you eating back your workout calories? If you are, that would be my primary suspect. Most activity calculators are computed using a 6-10% BF college athlete with a high VO2 max and weighing around 160lbs and then scaled to your weight. What this means is that in your case the calculator is assuming that you are a 339lb college athlete with 6-10% bf and not the likely 40%+ bf.

It's also helpful if you open up your journal, if you want real advice.

Yep, what he said. I'm a novice at this, although I've been studying voraciously, and I can see that there is something very wrong with your info.

Weight loss is not linear. So take measurements & photos, too.

The Sexypants post should be required reading: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1080242-a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-Sexypants

something sounds off in your math. Put your stats into this calculator http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/

When I put your numbers in, it said you should eat 2000 every day. But you can put more accurate info in.

Weight fluctuates. Period. Weight loss is not a linear thing. It's not just going to go straight down. It will wiggle up and down according to lots of different variables.

Various things are going to make you retain varying amounts of water, including but not limited to: muscle repair after a workout, hormonal fluctuations throughout the month, sodium in meals, hydration levels, timing of previous meal.

Weigh yourself in the morning, preferably first thing after you've done whatever you need to do in the bathroom and before you've eaten or drank anything. That's usually when you'll be at your lowest weight for the day. Try to keep it around the same time of day each time. Track it over time. As long as you're seeing an overall downward trend, you're fine. Panicking over every pound is extremely unhealthy, so try to relax.

yep I agree with the folks that said something was wrong with your math. I would consult with someone who knows how to calculate this. I do know that I've been frustrated with this too, and yes, it's also true, that weight can fluctuate very much from day to day. Don't use the scale as your ONLY measurement of success. Measure your arms and waist and legs and stuff too like someone also posted. Also, don't get too hung up on your scale. I also know that if you do not eat ENOUGH your body can and will go into "starvation" mode and you will not loose anything.... your body will be like woah... i'm not getting rid of anything, your not giving me enough calories.... again, I would seek the advice of a fitness professional...there are tons of them out there who know how to calculate this and are glad to help you for free. You could also, I assume, speak to your doctor. You might also want to google the topics to find out some more information.

Heads up, smile, take it one day at a time. You're already doing great!!!

Are you weighing everything you eat or just guessing? Or even using MFP database? I stopped using it a couple of days ago. One example: I entered every ingredient in a sandwich I made by using their DB and measurements (cups, tbsp, etc). The next day I made the same exact sandwich but used a scaled to weigh all and entered the info in the fitbit website in grams and it came out as 159 calories more. This was just for one miserly sandwich. Imagine how many more calories you are consuming every day if you do not measure properly.

PS: The other posters are correct. Your math makes no sense.
