Strength and weight control

I recently decided to drop 10 lbs on the advice from my doctor. In a little over a month I reached my goal without all that much effort, but I noticed a significant drop in my energy levels.
Generally I’m active: I ski in the winter, bike to work in the summer, do yoga year around. What I noticed that I feel sleepy all the time.
This I attribute to my new diet. I was mainly counting calories without much regard to where those calories come from and that I think is my main mistake.
Since I consider myself a novice in the realm of dieting, I figured I should ask people on this site for advice. Any suggestions?

what advice are you after? not trying to be a prick but it sounds like you have it figured out, start eating better, whole foods like veggies and lean meats
also do you count macros or just calories?

Without being able to see your diary, my first *guess* would be that you're not eating enough. How many calories are you aiming to net?

I do eat a lot of veggies. Probably not enough proteins, but I thought someone here can be more specific.

You should probably have this conversation with the doctor who told you to lose weight.

Yeah, you are a little low on the protein, in my opinion.

Have you increased your calories in since you hit your goal weight? Netting 1450/day seems pretty low for maintenance, but then again I don't know your height/weight. Have you calculated your TDEE?

I have no idea what TDEE is. Like I said, I'm complete novice in it.
1450 is a bit low, but only if I don't exercise that day. Usually if I bike or do yoga, that adds to my allowance and I feel no hunger.

    Just googled it.
According to the "calculator" my TDEE should be 2116. And since I'm trying to loose weight it needs to be lower. Now it does make sense.
    Thank you.
I'll look into my protein intake, that should clarify things further.
    Thanks again.

Base on your original post and your profile, I thought you had already lost the weight?

I did, but If I go back to my old habits, won't I gain it all back?

So you don't go back to your old habits; you're developing new ones.

If you continue to eat at a deficit (either through diet alone or through diet and exercise), you'll continue to lose weight. You'll want to find the right balance to maintain your current weight. Increase your calories slowly to figure out what you need to maintain.

Check out the maintaining weight forum. There are tons of posts (by folks much more knowledgeable than I) about making the transition from losing weight to maintaining.
