Need friends to stay motivated!

Hi all :)
Sorry for this long read! I am 21 and have struggled with my weight from about the age of 17 when in my final year of highschool my mental health (depression/bipolar) put me in a state where I would just eat chocolate and fast food all the time to feel better. I put on about 20kg in 12 months and then tried various diets to lose weight with varying levels of success (I lost 15kg doing weight watchers at 19 but am almost back at my starting weight.) I have tried running and swimming on and off for the last 3 years but have always given up after a month or two. Recently I have gotten back into running and am actually really committed and enjoying it for the first time ever! Yesterday I completed my first ever 5km running event (in the past I have only been able to manage run/walk intervals). I have signed up for 12km run event on the 31st of August and am currently following an 8 week training program for that! I am using runkeeper and have ordered a garmin sportswatch to help me stay on track! With all this exercise I am still struggling to not binge on chocolate and to change my attitude towards food. I have had this MFP account for ages but have just started using it again. I have 16kg to lose (35 pounds) and am looking for friends to help motivate me! Would be nice to connect with other people who are discovering/have discovered running :)

    Hey,
    I am new at this. Am too 21. I am targeting at 10 kgs for now. Even I have struggled with my weight since high school. Just can resist good food you know :P But yeah I understand that I will have to do. As a beginner I have started with running and tennis every morning.
    This time very determined to lose. Hoping to meet people and stay determined. :)
