Anyone buy them in bulk?
If so, where?

The only place I might consider online would be Egg Whites International....

Just wondering if there is a cheaper option out there.

Well I want the egg whites in cartons, cause they are pasteurized.
So I don't need to cook them.
I can throw it in my blender and mix in my protein powder or whatever and have a shake

I buy boxes of them at Costco, they come in 6 cartons per box. Idk if that's "bulk" enough for you, but it lasts me a couple weeks.

Do you need a membership to costco??
I may check it out anyways...

But where I buy my egg whites now, ~4.00/32oz, so 96oz == ~12.00
    Costco 6 pack == $9.40 for 96oz.

    So could be worth it.....

Yes, you need a membership. But I have a kid, so we get diapers and wipes there in bulk, too. Add in bulk toilet paper, laundtry detergent, ground beef, and the fact that we get our chicken breast there at ~$2/lb, it is very worth the yearly membership cost.

I've thought about trying powdered egg whites, has anyone tried these?
(not trying to hijack I've been searchign for bulk as well) :ohwell:

Costco membership is definitely worth it even if you only buy a few things there.

No, I have never tried egg white powder.

I am looking at doing the egg whites for purposes to put in place of water when prep'ing for a show....and fluid intake has to be dropped.

I buy Costco's egg whites but I also buy their chicken breasts every week. It's a 6 lb (give or take) Purdue pack of 6 individually vacuum sealed pouches - with 2 breasts each making them rougly 8 oz breasts. At $2.99/lb every day I can't find anyone in town that beats it. Whenever grocery stores do beat it it's with some gross 15% solution injected chicken breasts. There's a butcher shop chain in town that has chicken breast that approaches this price once in a while but they're those mutant chickens where literally 1 breast can exceed a pound.

If you stick to whole foods that you regularly eat anyway and don't get sucked into their prepared junk - a Costco membership is a great deal. Great veggies, fruit, meats, grains, dried fruits, etc. Whatever you do though, don't look at the muffins. DON'T. They're mesmerizing. You WILL buy them. They are the size of your head, delicous, and leave a nice oil slick on anything that touches them.

We buy the chicken as well. Some produce (they have some really good salad mixes), um....salmon, coffee (lots of coffee), etc...

Yeah, that is a big reason I don't do Wal-Mart's chicken breast.
I have done their's like twice.....
    And those things are HUGE!!!
But they make my stomach turn....so I stopped getting theirs....something ain't right with them.

I just ordered my membership online.

And I go by costco on Tuesday and Thursday for work, so I may just buy a cooler, and then stop in and grab my stuff, and toss it in that till I get home.

    What??
It's awesome, don't knock til you try.
They have no taste, so it is like adding milk to your protein powder
    Straight protein too.

Definitely Costco. We keep two boxes with six cartons in the fridge at all times. I use egg whites in everything instead of whole eggs. Much less expensive than chain grocery stores.

I get them from Sam's club. I use in protein shakes and also cook. They are the perfect food.
