Beginner's Bloat; Lifting Heavy?

Hi, I'm a 5 foot curvy woman who has always been relatively slim (i.e., flat tummy but big, round forever butt). I'm now on my 5th week of heavy weight lifting 2-3x per week and although I enjoy it, I have noticed an increase in 1-2 inches everywhere. Others have commented on my bulking up a bit.

I'm not eating more than usual but I just read about beginner's bloat and was wondering if anyone else had experience with this and when it subsided and you started to lean out?

I know most will suggest running a deficit. I am not terribly interested in counting calories. I have never been more than 10 lbs overweight and I attribute this to not obsessing about food. The few times that I did I ended up putting on 10 lbs in the long run which is what lead to this new weight lifting venture.

Also, I've done a fair bit of research (for work actually) and the studies I've read report that diets (calorie or food group restriction) predicts long-term weight gain. "Results: Intentional Weight Loss (IWLs) predicted accelerated weight gain and risk of overweight. The odds of becoming overweight by 25 years were significantly greater in subjects with one or two or more IWLs compared with subjects with no IWL. Conclusion: Our results suggest that frequent IWLs reflect susceptibility to weight gain, rendering dieters prone to future weight gain...independent of genetic factors." http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21829159

So I am hoping this is a phase and others pushed through this phase without dieting and can share their experience?

Thanks.
