    Drink lots of water, preferably cold. You know the old 6 or so glasses a day, many of us get far less than we think. But do not over do it, and kill yourself from water poisoning, yes, it is a real thing. you will actually lose quite a bit of weight early on. Also, Olive oil, Olive oil is a fantastic good fat. I put a little in just about every meal.

    How much water does one have to drink to die from water poisoning? Why is cold water preferred?

    Water poisoning is incredibly rare and invariably occurs with extenuating factors such as drug use (as in the cases of some ravers drinking themselves to death at raves), from "drinking contests" where participants chug extreme amounts or water, or from long bouts of extensive exercise where electrolytes are not replenished despite a extremely large amount of water being taken in. The idea that someone would accidentally cause themselves water toxicity in the normal course of a day is so far removed to be damn near impossible.

    And the 'tip' about cold water is because cold water burns a minuscule amount more calories to process as the body warms it to body temp once consumed.
