Random observation from a meat lover...

But nothing makes steamed broccoli taste better than the juices from a barely medium-rare hunk of steak!

Beef juice makes everything taste better. I like when it soaks into the base of my potato bake.

Preach it! I loved eating beef juice soaked baked potato skin.

That is why I don't steam it. I roast broccoli with garlic and I can eat it day in and day out.

Not saying I don't love a medium rare (on the rare end) hunk of steak. Oh I do. I really, really, really, really do. Especially a ribeye that takes up half my plate.

Normally I do roast broccoli, when cooking for 6. But the family is out of town and I was tired, so... 4 minutes in the microwave steamer, the steak took 5 on the grill. Boom, done!

A soggy, steamed vegetable and a soggy piece of meat. Why not put them in a Ziploc while you're at it? Vile.

Add me to the chorus! Love the meat juices soaking into my vegetables! Although in the absence of meat juice I've found broccoli makes an excellent :)

I'll give you possibly soggy on the broccoli (though it wasn't mushy), but I fail to see how my beautiful grilled steak was soggy!
