Finally back from the woods...

Some of you might not know me, and some of you might remember me. Well, I'm FINALLY DONE with that ridiculous job where I lived in the woods and taught climbing! The climbing part was fun, but I only got to do it about once a week. Other than that, I had to watch the kids have fun. :grumble: I lived in a wall tent for 8 weeks, lived off trail food, had no plumbing (used an outhouse), and got a shower about twice a week LOL. Despite the level of activity, I couldn't really count calories, and on the weekends I went WILD. I was just so sick of dehydrated food by Saturday! Of course, after two months of no working out and the mentality of eating good food whenever available, I put on about 7 lbs. Part of that is just increased glycogen from a diet so high in carbohydrates, but it's also from my bad weekends! I can see a difference in my hips and tummy, and it's really disappointing.
However, my AMAZING boyfriend
went and got me a 1-month membership at the gym 15 min. away, and I got to get back into it for the first time today! I have been eating clean for the past week, but until now I couldn't do much because the roads here are extremely dangerous to run on (no sidewalk) and we just moved into a new apartment, which takes up a lot of time.
But I'm finally BACK, and I missed you guys, and I am SO ready to bust my butt in the gym! Tonight I lifted for 50 min. and then did an hour-long MMA class...hahah I'm gonna be hurting tomorrow!

I'm glad too! I was starting to feel crappy from the bad food and no exercise. But I know I won't be having any junk cravings for the next 6 months :laugh:0 -

Haha yea...an 'experience' alright! I can definitely say that I've roughed it. And I learned how to chop wood really well  I was so excited about the membership! He totally surprised me, just came home on his break and said "Here's something for you to do" because I've been sooooo bored with no job and no gym.

I put out an APB on you over a month ago! I'll cancel it now--if any police see you, just tell them it's ok, you've checked back in and MFP knows you're safe now!
