Matthew Sweet!
He's one of my all time favorites and he was playing in this little dive bar near my college dorm. I was able to get right to the front row and after the concert I was able to go onto his tour bus and give him a hug. He'd recognized me as the girl in the front row who knew all the lyrics.

Tool back in July 2010 at Nokia in LA. They sound amazing live and put on a great visual show. I'm hoping I get to see them again!!0

Simon & Garfunkel, Central Park, 1981?
Allman Brothers, Madison Square Garden, 1973?
You certainly don't mean Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass, Yale Bowl, 1969.
God, I'm old ....0 -
Guns N Roses, Riverport Ampitheater, St. Louis, MO, 1991, 36th row. The riot. It was so awesome.
Runner Up: Ned's Atomic Dustbin at some seedy St. Louis club in 1992. Amazing show, killer mosh pit. Such a great night.
:drinker:0 -
Michael Buble. I was sick as a dog with a stomach bug. Even had to run out and throw up, but it was still one of the best nights of my life.0
-
Eric Clapton
But I've only been to three total: Van Halen, Eric Clapton, Sting0 -
Here's one you may not expect to hear:
Weird Al Yankovic
The man is a very dynamic and versatile performer. I've never been more entertained by a wider variety of music, genres, and stage presence in one show. It was one of the most memorable concerts I've been too.0 -
Showing my age here. My first was the best. September 1971. Tower of Power opened, followed by Bo Diddly, then the headliner, Creedence Clearwater Revival. What a show!0
-
The Pharcyde playing the whole of the Bizarre Ride album last year - never thought I would see that,
Bad Religion was also Amaaazing!0 -
Eric Clapton - mid 90's... awesome, plain and simple. Slowhand Tour (I think that was what it was called), or maybe it was "Unplugged"??
Oh, and Eagles - Hell Freezes Over0 -
I'm probably older than most of you, but definitely Billy Joel0
-
Roger Waters "The Wall" in 2010.
Metallica "Death Magnetic' in 2008.0 -
I loved seeing Apocalyptica! AMAZING performers!!
I always loved seeing Shinedown... became a fan of In This Moment once I saw them in concert - great show!
DMB was great too - going to see them again in a week!
Will be seeing Billy Joel in a week as well... I heard his shows are pretty fantastic, too!0 -
Eminem - 7 days ago. 11 hours standing on my feet at Wembley - VIP standing, 4 rows from the stage.0
-
Ozzfest 2001. Disturbed, Slipknot, Manson, Linkin Park, and Sabbath were all awesome.0

You can tell I'm an old broad. Josh Groban a couple of years ago is one. I had seats in the middle of an arena in front of what I thought was power equipment behind a curtain. It turned out he performed from two stages, one in front and one in the middle. At one point I was less than a foot from him when he went down the aisle. I was in heaven. The other was Harry Connick Jr. last year. I had enjoyed his albums, but never seen him live. He's so multi-talented, a real showman.0

Trans-Siberian Orchestra.0

AFI in 2007, when davey havok still had the pipes to perform from sing the sorrow/black sails. first concert and best concert, i was a wee baby of 13 all decked out in my middle school goth attire and ready to rumble.
if anyone on this thread says they've seen daft punk live i will eat their eyes.0 -
June 28th 2002. Rush Vapor Trails Tour. Their first tour (and album) after almost 6 years of downtime and speculation that they wouldn't record or tour again after Neil (the drummer) lost his daughter (car crash) and wife (cancer) in a one year period. A few friends and I made the trip from New Orleans to Hartford, Connecticut to see the opening show on the tour.
Runners up:
July 16 2012. Iron Maiden w/ Alice Cooper. Maiden England tour. First concert for my 6yo (at the time) metal head son.
August 29, 1992. Metallica, Guns -n- Roses, Faith No More. Metallica brought the Super Dome down in New Orleans.
June 17, 2003. ZZ Top & Ted Nugent. For just three guys, ZZ Top put on a show that rivals a Rush concert.
January 28, 1984. Van Halen 1984 tour. Didn't know it at the time, but this was Roth's last tour (until he came back to the abomination that is Van Halen now)0 -
Best one ever - White Zombie. The best pit I have ever been in.
Disturbed - every concert of theirs I have seen..
And for country - Garth Brooks.0 -
Rammstein put on an amazing show, so that's my favourite for sheer spectacle. However, the concerts I have enjoyed the most are when I've seen Thunder. No props,no spectacular set pieces just good old fashioned rock and roll blasted out full belt. Love them.0

Back in the day - Metallica/Guns & Roses at Three Rivers Stadium - but I loved all the Metallica shows
Recently - Luke Bryan & Dierks Bentley at Heinz Field0 -
Monsters of Rock back when I was 17 or 18. It was crazy!
Oh, and any Metallica concert. I've seen TONS of them!0 -
TOOL in 2002...it was AMAZING!0

I am not a huge fan of Tori Amos to be honest, and never was a superfan...but I saw her in concert a few times back in the 90's and her show Nov 4, 1996 (I remember because my best friend and I went the day after my 20th birthday) was the BEST concert I have ever attended. It was just amazing. Easily ten times better than any other concert I've experienced!!
It's weird for me to admit that as someone who has attended shows by many other great bands/artists, when I am not even a huge fan of hers. But it's definitely true.0 -
