Which do you prefer?

The gym or at home (Xbox, DVDs, outside, etc.)? I've had much better luck at home and wanted to know what you all do.

Gym by a large margin. Mainly because I don't have the type of equipment the gym has at my house.

I prefer the gym. I don't have the discipline to work out at home but kudos to those that do.

Gym. I like getting out of my place for excuses and see some people haha
Seeing others workout also motivates me. I just can't do home workouts regularly for some reason

I prefer workouts outside of the gym. My town doesn't have a gym though, so that may influence my decision a bit.

Meh, both. I feel like I get a better workout while I'm at my house, because I'm not as self-conscious about the other people around me. Flailing around like a crazed woman being attacked by a bat? No problem, the blinds are closed so I'm free to attempt what I call "White Girl Zumba".

Home... love my Kinect! I never know what to do with myself when I get to the gym haha... I can personalize my workouts at home but still be told what to do AND if I'm doing it wrong! :)

Home and outside. Don't have the money for a gym and wouldn't go if I did. I don't have the patience to deal with my fellow man.

    Gym.

my home is a fortress of solitude and fun, not a gym.. maybe if i lived in a house with a room i could make into a gym it would be different. but living in an apartment i dont want to be bothered dragging crap out and putting it back

I workout at home mostly for the convenience factor. But getting to workout barefoot is a plus.

The gym. by a massive amount. it has more equipment, it's my escape/ time for me when i can just get it done and go home. I wouldn't do half as well without the gym.

The dojo, then outside, then the gym, then home.

I have no luck at home but I love to hike outside.

I love yoga classes, Crossfit, sports conditioning, and weightlifting at the gym. I guess to me it's like getting to go to a coffee shop or the library. Plus, I get pushed harder than I will push myself on things I don't like (such as sprints in sports conditioning). I don't have the discipline to do super hard cardio on my own. Weights yes, super hard cardio, no.
  • Home gym.

In January I decided to buy my own rack, Olympic bar and plates, and a bench. I use to workout at my university gym but I got tired of people telling me not to deadlift heavy weight or I can't use chalk. I have not looked back on it. I bought some horse stall mats two of them they are 6' x 4' 3/4" thick. They protect my floor and I'm constantly deadlifting 350 now.
