Should almond flour be avoided?

The author of this article suggests that almond flour should be avoided. I've noticed it in recipes for baked goods on a paleo diet. Do you think using almond flour is a healthy way to bake?

Unless you're allergic to almonds, then almond flour is perfectly acceptable to use. It's literally just ground almonds, and almonds are good for you!0
