My steps are not showing up on my diary at all...I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and this gets it to work for one day, and then it stops working again. Not sure what I am doing wrong, but I can't keep uninstalling and reinstalling mfp!
(Also rebooted device - android phone - forced app stop and disconnected and reconnected fitbit...aaahh)

fitbit doesn't show steps in MFP. it shows steps on your phone and your fitbit dashboard, it shows adjustment for calories burned beyond other exercise you list in MFP.
btw, here's the MFP fitbit user group, a great place to get info

IMO, the best strategy is to toss the Fitbit and get something that is accurate. I don't know if it's my flex or the fitbit dashboard but it shows that I've done over 400 miles in less than 30 days. I'll guarantee that is not the case. I've contacted them to see what's up and haven't received a response (it's been over a week, with a follow-up please respond email) - their customer service is absolutely lousy. Worst $100 I've ever spent.0

simplydelish2, the flex counts arm gestures as steps. that's why i got the one, but both the flex and the one count the bumps in the rode when riding/driving in a car as steps, too, unless you either use drivebit or log the time in your fitbit dashboard that you spend in the car.
my fitbit is very accurate when it comes to steps - as long as i remember to use drivebit whenever i enter and exit a car... it's been far more accurate than my phone's pedometer, and as accurate as my ozeri 4x sport pedometer.
fatboyliz, i've never once seen steps from my fitbit on MFP, and i've had it hooked up since june 23. luckily i don't care about that - i care about heart rate and time spend exercising.
btw, fitbit support has always gotten right back to me. go figure!0 -
I have a fit bit one, find it pretty accurate to be fair!
Thebasschick that is so weird, I wonder if the apps work differently on different devices or something? Mine is showing again,,fingers crossed it stays!
Thanks borh0 -
I have a fitbit one and LOVE it. It's not going to make you lose weight, but it a tool to help you become more active. Also - their customer service, to me, is some of the best I've ever dealt with. My dog got mine while I was showering once an chewed it up and they replaced it free of charge.
But yeah - steps show on the application on your phone - but not the actual website. And sometimes MFP and Fitbit have issues talking to each other so often you'll see that it isn't showing/isn't correct/didn't count your full day. Don't panic - sooner or later it'll get fixed.0 -
I'm at over 72 hours dealing with their customer service and getting more upset with them as time goes on. My Flex was great for the first nine months. After that it started acting up, resetting on its own, dropping out of sleep tracking mode, missing alarms, not tracking steps for full days at a time, showing light patterns that are not described in any of the Flex literature ... and if their customer service doesn't remove their collective head from their colon I will be shopping for a new device soon.0

When an online case fails ... message Fitbit through Facebook ... effective but not what it should take to get them to action an issue with a faulty device.0

The customer service is kind of iffy. If you lose it or wash it or your dog eats it, they'll usually just send you one out. If yours starts acting up, you get a month of 'try this', 'try that'. At least my first defective one took a month of back-and-forth. It is frustrating.0

You should call them back and tell them your dog ate it. Maybe that will make things go faster.
Seriously, I hope it's been worked out by now.0 -
It took telling them how bad their customer service is via Facebook to get them to "find" the claim and respond. Horrible service so far.0
