upper arm

I noticed that in all the exercises I do. My legs and my stomach can achieve persistent exercises lasting from10 minutes - 25 minutes at a time. But my upper body exercises are all short and abrupt. I need them to last at least 20 minutes.
I found one. I get 2 tins of food (one on each hand), and I swing my arms back and forth like a marching order for 20 minutes.
Can anyone think of more upper arm only or neck and head exercises that i can keep up for long periods???

This is a good question! It's why I use the elliptical when I'm in the gym. Rowing would be good, too.

Me and shadow boxing don't mix.
It's not a good thing to see.

Elliptical (treadmill step) is not good enough.
    That's 80% legwork. It's not good balance

Push ups/press ups, planks, dips. Do some intervals.

When I do the elliptical, I focus on making sure my arms are working. I don't just grip my hands on the handles and let them get pushed back and forth. I alternate between pushing the handles hard with my hands open, and pulling on them hard, with my four fingers hooked around them, not using my thumb.

Horrible exercises. All they do is make you tense. I want to loosen up and feel lively.
The exercises here have the oppisite affect and they are not persistent.

It's cool. I've figured it out. Turns out that there is quite a lot you can do with tins of food.
    Thanks for trying

What exactly are you hoping to achieve by swinging some cans around? Just muscular endurance? The reason that push ups, planks and dips were suggested is that they are resistance exercises to increase strength. You need both endurance and strength.
