Workout tops that are breathable but not clingy?

I hold all my weight in my midsection, so I have some serious muffin top action happening. I usually just wear old t-shirts to workout in, but it'd be nice to have something more breathable (and more stylish too). The most important thing to me is to find something that is loose fitting around the midsection that doesn't cling to my undershirt while I workout. Any advice about what materials I should be looking for? Where are some of your favorite places to buy workout clothes?

Thanks for any advice and recommendations!

Ironically enough, I've gotten good stuff from Walmart for cheap. Nice because I hope to shrink out of them in decent time, so I don't want to spend too much $$$ on them.

Old Navy has some great tanks for pretty cheap as part of their Active Wear collection. I have four of the tank tops that are racer-backs with mesh (NOT see-through!) backs. They don't cling or hang super weird, and I have the same mid-section problem. Under Armour also has some good short-sleeved tops that are semi-fitted that look good with compression shorts.

If you want to spend a little more $$, I do like Lululemon. I've had tanks from them that have lasted me through literally 70 lbs and still look ok, so they were worth the investment. Also, one of them has an adjustable inner bra which was valuable during breastfeeding and weight loss.

I like getting my workout clothes at Kohl's. They have cheap brands plus name brands at a discount price, plus if you sign up for email newsletters they send you coupons practically every week.

Look for clothes that are moisture wicking for the most comfort. Personally I prefer shirts that are a blend of cotton and polyester. They aren't as effective at wicking away sweat, but on me they seem to be more flattering around the midsection than full polyester/spandex shirts.

old navy tops are actually pretty good.

their bottoms (especially for those looking for non cotton/yoga pants that arent capris) are sucktastic but their tops are pretty damn good (like almost as good as under armor) and very good price.

in fact buy them up because i have suspicion that those will be changed too much like the bottoms have

Slightly pricey, but worth their weight in gold, not too clingy and very breathable, are Asics "the favourite tshirt"

I now own 2 in different colours. I will be expanding my selection when the budget allows.

I have a couple of great workout tops that have a drawstring around the bottom hem so you can pull them in tight around your hips but they are loose everywhere else (they end just below the "muffin top" so good to disguise anything you're self conscious about).

I'm in the UK and they are a store's own brand (XPG from Debenhams) so if you're in the US you won't be able to get them, but it might be worth looking out for a style like that.

I LOVE Champion! I get mine at Target and watch the sales. I buy the t-shirts that are cut a bit loser around the mid-section, and my favorite tanks are a sports bra / tank combo. The sports bra part fits really well, and the tank part is cut a bit looser. The pants/capris don't have a draw string, but I have a feeling that they will stick with me till almost the end. The colors are great too.
