This is my second week of phase one so far so good. I got some bad news on my labs so I think I will be on south beach the rest of my life any comments

The best strategy is to not diet but rather make the journey a lifestyle adjustment.

The more we lose, the better our labs look over time. I know many friends and family that have dropped big weight and were able to come off their cholesterol/diabetes/blood pressure meds.

You can do it, one pound at a time.

Best of luck. I started some moderate carb restrictions in my diet to try and improve some blood work numbers as well. triglycerides when down almost immediately and am waiting for cholesterol to drop on the next round of tests.

Look at it as a new way of eating versus a temporary tool to get you to a goal.
