not in the mood to eat today

I'm not in a very good mood today. I feel tired, lazy, and very cranky. I'm not sure why, I am just not happy today. I'm not in the mood to eat, drink, or do anything really. I know I should, and I probably will later, but right now, I just don't want to. It's not about weight loss or anything, I just feel zombie like today. I'm not looking for a lecture, this isn't intentional, just wondering if anyone else ever experiences days like this? I never have before. Thanks

Eat anyway. That's what I do when I don't feel like eating (which does happen often).0

I've experience it before. The next few days after that I ate way over what I should have. It's a good idea to eat anyway because how you eat today impacts how hungry you are and how you feel tomorrow.0

Humm I never heard that before, thanks0

There's a day in my diary about a week or so back where I literally only ate an apple with peanut butter and a slice of turkey lunchmeat. Had a rough day family wise and couldn't bring myself to eat anything else, just drink lots of water or fruit juice and rest yourself, no point making your mood worse by forcing yourself to do something you don't feel like doing, it's only one day just don't make a habit out of it and you will be totally fine, hope your day gets better!
ETA: this is basically taking a fasting day so remember not to "binge" tomorrow or you might make yourself feel like total crapola0 -
Not in the mood....to eat? I don't think I speak that language.0

LOL you just made me smile0 -
I have this often. Sometimes I eat, sometimes I don't. I usually get enough food in for the day, because I have to eat/make dinner for my family. Most times though, if I don't feel like eating I don't. I haven't eaten breakfast in a few weeks, I usually find something for lunch because I know I need to, and I don't want to get stuck at work in the afternoon hungry and not able to get out to get anything.
It sucks because it impacts my workouts quite a bit so I haven't been doing as much of that as I should be. I am in a funk though, stressed about some personal stuff so that's probably why. I try not to get too stressed about food because I've got enough on my plate (pun intended) :flowerforyou:0 -
I eat to fuel my body!!!0 -
I have days like that...not lately though. I always just go with it. The weekend is only a day away so you'll have some extra calories to have a treat....mmmm ICE CREAM!0

Hey don't worry, one day doesn't change anything. And if you do get yourself to eat, maybe just one meal, try to stick a lot of calorie dense things into it - some peanut butter or mayo or whatever you like0
-
So you have lots of calories to spend. Too bad you can't loan me some. Have some icecream or something you love to eat.0

I love my food, but I go through the "unmotivated to eat" thing fairly often. Usually it's just for a meal, not for a day, but I keep some protein bars on hand in the freezer and little one ounce packets of nuts. If you don't want to have a meal, don't worry about it. Just make sure you get some calories and some nutrients. As someone else pointed out, one day isn't going to make a huge difference if you eat or not. However, if it becomes a frequent occurrence, you might want to see if there's a pattern to it.0

Thanks everyone, each of you had great points. Its nice not to get yelled at lol and some of you are pretty funny, its getting me out of my cranky mood, I'm feeling happier and more energized. Thanks0
