I need some help!! I have been on a downward spiral since the holidays...yes, I know, that was 6 months ago. Anyway...I haaaaad lost 60something lbs....now I am at 43lbs of loss (due to the downward spiral). I had been eating clean ALL the time and running 3x a week. Now its poptarts, orange is the new black, and maybe a some grapes.
I just cant get into it mentally!! Im not sure what to do. I see the problem, but for some reason I cant get my body to go through to do the work. I still have another 30ish lbs to reach my goal weight and would really really like to get there.
Any advice would be SOOOOO appreciated!

in January of 2013 I was so where I wanted to be and the first 9 months of the year were awesome!
The winter....Lord Help Me! I baked, ate and watched TV...it was not good. I can tell you this, it has taken me 1 month of baby steps to get going again. Small VICTORIES it what I am living for. I am finally starting to want to get out the door after dinner to walk and saying no to the excess that I really don't need. I know a lot of people start with diet but I am a believer of:

Hi there,
Maybe you have answered you own question as where your motivation has gone as I notice the words "Eating Clean ALL the time" and maybe to a lesser extent the running x3 a week....maybe your are burnt out.
It's possible that you have put so much pressure on yourself to be 'perfect' that you have exhausted yourself more mentally than physically, hence the bust out into eating foods that you have previously denied yourself and the lack of ability to face exercise.
As the other poster has said it is time to regroup and start with a new strategy and just dive straight in.
Don't hold yourself to lofty ideals that you cannot see yourself being able to do forever and a day......eating "Clean/perfect" what ever that means to you 100% of the time may well not achievable nor desirable. Allow yourself your Poptarts or whatever your personal favourites are......make room for them in your calorie allowance so you don't end up back in the ALL or NOTHING senario.
Can't face the prospect of running 3x a week, then go for a run once if running is a pleasure for you. If it isn't really making you happy search out other exercise alternative, find something that inspires you and gets the fire in your belly going....swap activities around and have a play. Exercise should be enjoyable, eating should be enjoyable.
Your health is your most prized possession and you have done so well with losing so far. Ok you have slipped but it's a temporary slip, many, many people here go through this and the difference between success and failure is getting yourself back up and starting out all over again.
Good Luck.0
