does jogging make you hungry?

i don tknow if im just imagining it but sometimes in the days after jogging i feel more hungry than normal?
im 5'1 and my recommended calories to lose weight is 1200, after i jog the next few days then i will want to eat more compared to if i dont jog, the other day i ended up eating over 1800 calories, i counted it as a free day but i felt like i was just eating normal healthy stuff and not treating myself to anything else
am i hungrier because the exercise is making my metabolism higher? should i eat something if i feel so hungry or is it ok not to, will it slow my metabolism if i dont eat something? sometimes if i drink some tea or eat an orange or fruit and i'll feel less hungry

MFP expects you to consume 1200 NET calories ... not 1200 total.0

yuh, definitely eat post-workout meal after jogging.
your body will thank you.0 -
If you go for a jog/run today, then you need to eat a bit more TODAY. It will not make you feel hungrier tomorrow.0

yep i try to eat more on days when i jog and a big meal before jogging0

I can't see what your typical pace or duration is, but eating a big meal before is likely not necessary unless you're running for quite some time (like training for a marathon or something).
I get up at around 5:45am most mornings before work and run 5km or sometimes a bit more. I don't eat anything before I go, and then I just have 2-3 scrambled eggs for breakfast. Then nothing until lunch.0 -
for example today i jogged @ 4.5 7 miles with walking in between, maybe 1.5 miles of walking, it took me about 2 hours but today was longer than normal, usually i do like 60-90 minutes
if i dont eat a big meal then i dont have a lot of energy when i run, i like to feel like i have a lot of energy so i like to eat a lot of carbs in the meal before
thats really early! im not much of a morning person myself0
