Help Needed

Hey everyone, my name is Frank and I'm 18 years old. I'm very new to this whole thing but recently I decided I needed a change in my life and found the motivation to begin this weight loss journey. I started working out and eating healthier about a week ago, and have been monitoring my calorie intake and diet closely. I'm currently 5'8 and 190 lbs, and am hoping to lose around 30 lbs. Over the past week, I have been going to the gym and using the elliptical for about 30-35 mins, and then weight training for the remaining half hour or so. I have been doing arms and legs every other day, but I am wondering if my plan now is going to be efficient. At my gym, they have a good amount of ab machines as well, so I wasn't sure how I could incorporate those into my plans. I am also wondering how long it will take to see some results with the plan I have now. I have also been doing pushups, situps, planks, and wall sits daily as well. If someone could reply to this post with any recommendations on things I can change or a better plan for working out it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

It really depends of what your goal is, but for general 'toned look' you will want to make sure you're exercising all your muscle groups. I personally think that getting a session with a personal trainer is well worth the money (over here it's not expensive either). You can get a personal plan and someone to make sure you're actually doing your exercises correctly. It might be something you wish to consider. And dont skip on core exercises either, even though they can be quite a pain in the butt (more like, pain everywhere actually).
