    Cool post, OP!

    I'm new to running and yoga, both of which I want to become much better at.
    I'd love to start Stronglifts once my finances have stabilised.

    I want to increase both endurance, strength and flexibility, mental balance through lots more meditation, and the feeling of being grounded, confident, present in the moment, and vital.

    Right now, my goal is to not feel like I"m going to collapse and die after BodyFlow class!

    But long term, being age 50 now, my goal is to get down to a healthy weight and maintain it while also getting my body into shape. That means building up my stamina and some muscle, as well as increasing flexibility. I'd also love to complete C25K and do some runs.

    I want to deadlift 450, OHP 250, bench 320, and squat 400 but I'm still fixing up my squat form so that one's on hold for a while.

    guitarJerry, you know when you start any exercise it is much more difficult than after you have done it a while. Call it muscle memory or learning how to move, I bet you could improve in Pilates much faster than an individual who is not as fit.

    goals for the end of end of august:

    run 5k
    get to body weight squat and deadlift
    get to 135 bench (to put the big plates on!! :love: )


    some longer term goals are to run some spartans, enter into powerlifting comps next year once i've made goal weight and cleaning my body weight
