EGGS< not egg whites, the whole egg with all the good vitamins from the yolk. eat them slow and they will fill you up. top with some homemade fresh salsa and a quarter of an avocado and you have a filling meal that is probably about the same calories as your shake. you need good fats so your brain gets the message that your full. you need good fats to fuel your body and mind. don't be afraid of fat. if you eat 300 calories with high fat content and then aren't hungry for a 100 calorie snack you have just saved 100 calories and not had to feel hungry.0

I've been doing refrigerator oatmeal, which is really filling.
It's basically 1/4 cup of rolled oats, a 1/4 cup of greek yogurt, a 1/4 cup of milk and 1 1/2 tablespoons chia. Then you add fruit, sweetener and flavoring. It keeps really well in the fridge for a week and is very filling.

And I think it's a 1/3 c. milk too, but I just smack 5 ziploc bowls on the counter, pull out my 1/4 cup measure and do them all up at the same time. I keep a coffee scoop in the Chia bag. Then I vary the toppings.
P.S. There are some dried blueberries at Costco that are great instead of fresh/frozen berries.
I also get a couple pounds of bacon at a time, bake it and then create 2-slice foil pouches before freezing it. Warm in a pan or nuke it.
ETA - heh. It's teaspoons of Chia too. Well, the TBSPs are working for me0 -
the more carbs you add the hungrier you will be. I added fat in place of about half of my carb intake and my calorie consumption dropped by 30% on its own because I wasn't hungry and didn't overeat. adding more carbs to your smoothie will solve nothing. if you really love your smoothie, try and egg and half a smoothie that should do the trick0

ooooh bacon, I forgot to add that . that's a fantastic lower cal high fat filling food, and its yummy too. a great addition to the shake if she must have the shake.0

I have a Quest bar and protein smoothie before I even eat breakfast...I don't know how people eat such tiny meals in the morning (or nothing) and don't want to eat the entire fridge by lunch.
I've been having oatmeal with almond milk and PB2 with some cinnamon. That's been my go-to breakfast for months.
In an attempt to up my protein smoothie carbs (with fruit), I had to find a lower carb breakfast since the oatmeal had 55g. I'll be trying a big Granny Smith apple with peanut butter two days next week, cold cereal with almond milk for two days, and 1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt with PB2 and oats one day.
Weekends are usually chocolate protein pancakes. Yum!
As for my protein shakes, I use almond milk, spinach, 1/2 frozen banana, and either fruit or PB2 and unsweetened cocoa powder. Next week I'm trying mangoes and pineapples.0 -

I like to eat a chorizo sausage and two fried eggs in a fajita-size tortilla. It's very filling. I'm often good for up to 9 hours afterward.0

I love breakfast!!! We make breakfast burritos (whole wheat tortilla filled with scrambled egg/egg whites, cheese, veggies, hot sauce, and pan fried potatoes - make it at night and heat in the am (. It is very filling. We also make our own homemade breads and muffins. Yogurt with nuts is a good choice as well. I find if I don't eat a good filling breakfast I end up eating too much layer in the day.0

I like making Egg Muffin Tins.
Mixture of egg white/egg and then put whatever you'd like. Green Peppers, Onions, (cooked bacon, turkey meat), a little cheese, tomato.
I've made a huge variation of these so they don't get old. It's easy to throw them in the refrigerator and portion control is a breeze to.0 -
Add another to the overnight/refrigerator oatmeal squad! Only I use almond milk instead of regular milk. Yesterdays breakfast came in at 265 calories, and kept me filled most of the morning! Easy to make, and especially great to eat in the heat of the summer. I usually throw in a 1/4 - 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries and a tsp of a low sugar fruit preserves. If you can find the St. Dalfour preserves, they are about as good as I have found nutritionally, and taste great!0

Mornings meals are the meals that I look most forward to and I just splurge as if it's going out of style! It kick starts my day on the right foot and keeps me going until early afternoon to have a snack or two.
Breakfast:
-1 whole egg.
-8 eggwhites
-chicken sausage w/basil
-sliced oven roasted turkey breast
I saute spinach, tomatoes, onions, garlic, hot peppers (all organic) and dump the the above mix and make one hell of an omelette. The gram of proteins range in somewhere from 45g to 60g.
A fully satisfied and finger-licking-good meal!0 -

One of the recipes is coconut milk with pineapple and is a favorite of mine. I'm sure Almond milk would work as a sub though.0 -
I'm a busy mom and have zero time in the morning... mainly because I value my precious sleep, what little sleep I actually get. I drink a Dole Shaker every morning. It has fruit and yogurt already it in. You just add your favorite juice and voila... smoothie. The Power shakes have fruit and veggies made with greek yogurt. The regular smoothies have fruit with regular yogurt. I use the Tropicana 50 juice that has 1/2 the amount of calories as normal orange juice but people use all kinds of different juices. I've also heard of people adding a scoop of protein to the juice before mixing into the shaker. I have yet to try this and protein powders hurt my tummy...

1 cup of kale
1/4 of a pepper
EVOO or butter
salt and pepper
Sometimes i'll have a green shake on the side so
2 eggs scrambled
Smoothie
1 or 1/2 banana
1 cup kale
1 stalk of celery
water
or
Smoothie
1 or 1/2 banana
1 cup kale
1 stalk of celery
1 scoop whey protein isolate
water
Oatmeal
1/4 cup
agave
water

i make my oatmeal in non-fat milk or soy milk for protein, add half a teaspoon of cinnamon and sweeten with stevia. and if i worked out with weights the day before, i'll have a half scoop of protein powder either stirred in or on the side in water with stevia.

I tried just having a smoothie in the morning and I was always hungry shortly thereafter so I started making myself very quick homemade breakfast sandwiches:
You Need:
Whole Wheat English Muffin
All Whites (or regular eggs if you prefer)
Turkey Bacon (or regular microwavable bacon if you prefer)
Cheese of your choice
1. Spray microwave safe mug or bowl with cooking spray.
2. Pour 1/3 cup of All whites (or crack 2 eggs and scramble) in mug. Microwave for 1 1/2 min
3. Microwave turkey bacon for 1 1/2 min (check cook time on your meat of choice)
4. Meanwhile, toast english muffin.
5. Stack sandwich with egg, meat and cheese and enjoy!
This takes about 5 minutes to make and the numbers break down to the following (estimates based on using All Whites and Turkey Bacon; numbers will vary depending on what brands/types of food you use):
