I think I need to eat more

I've been having a hard time eating the right amount. I either eat around 1800 calories a day (which makes me gain a little) or under 1000 calories a day. I don't know why but I can't seem to eat/find the perfect number in between.

    How tall are you and how much do you weigh? You reeeaallly shouldn't be eating under 1200 calories. Find out your BMR and your TDEE. Your BMR is the amount of calories you would burn laying in bed for 24 hours. You should eat at least this many calories for your body to function properly. Once you have your tdee which is how much you burn in a day with activity then you subtract from there. If you like eating more that's where cardio comes in. Cardio simply allows more of a deficit so you can have more food if you'd like. What are your goals?
