I heard about it on the radio this morning. It suggests drinking a glass of wine with at least one meal a day. What do you all think about this...

I know certain red wines are good for your heart...
  • I haven't read the book, but here is a link reviewing the research/methodology. I think the overall focus is heart health, and incorporating wine into your diet is a good way to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

  • HOORAY! Finally a diet I can do :D

    Where do I sign up??

    /runs off to liquor store
  • Some studies show that limited amounts of wine have health benefits. The problem is that this isn't a "weight loss" diet. Instead it is more focused on overall health. Eating for weight loss is a completely different animal. Fruit juice is a good example of this. Fruit juice is great when you are talking about general health and wellness but it isn't a good idea when you are talking about weight loss.

well, i think this is a great thing...i've heard good for your heart and i love my wine. i've tried to cut back though just because there are a lot of calories in wine. i like your way of thinking though!

I'm more of a white wine gal, but if it's in the name of good health, well I guess I'll just have to switch. The sacrifices I have to make... :)
