Why do you care if people buy baby food or bottled water and if you don't why post these threads?

I didn't know they were giving the old fogies baby food at homes now.

I'd take these posts down, but I don't think it's possible. So, I'll just take a beating for my posts until they disappear with time.

But I want to feed my children what I want without a stranger telling me what to give my child. Is that so wrong beardface? (Pronounced beard fac aye for all you scrubs fans)

You're awfully opinionated.....Every post I have read from you today is stop buying this.....stop buying that.

Not really. Just posting things that create conversation. I don't have an opinion on any of the things I've posted these last couple of days.

Just wanted to create some posts other than the "person above me" threads.

Didn't expect to get so much negative personal commentary. I don't really care though. This is make believe and I know that the same people that would tear a person apart in here, would not do it in real life interaction.

    So you're trolling.

I've got 3 and 5 year old who've only had homemade food, and my 3 month old will get the same at 6 months when I wean her. My 5 year old had a couple of jars at my MIL's, but he never liked them. I quite enjoyed making loads of little meals and freezing them!

If people want to buy baby food in jars or pouches though, it's up to them. I'm sure there's nothing wrong with them. I just prefer to make my own, plus it's cheaper.

No, they weren't meant to be. I thought they were valid points worth discussing and consideration. I thought people would discuss the pros and cons of each subject. I didn't expect to be attacked personally.

Not much I can do about it now.

    Lesson learned.

I have to agree with OP. I always made my own baby food. In the very early days I liquidised everything. Roast dinners, the lot. Whatever we had they had. The trouble is it all ended up green due to the veg. But, they absolutely loved it. The only time I used baby food was for travelling. Just one thing to be careful of is the salt with babies. I never added any because it can cause them problems.

You can buy reduced salt stock cubes for making stews and things. It'll be November when I wean my baby. Nov in England is perfect stew weather! Nice and easy to shove in the blender.

I would still call you an old fogie to your face, just for the sake of clarity. :flowerforyou:

That being said, everyone in my family made/makes their own baby food because it's cheaper.

Also because the s#/t that comes out of a jar is disgusting.

If you just wanted to discuss the topic, why phrase the initial post like you did? You may find you'll get a better reaction/response from others if you say something like "What do you think about store bought vs. home-made baby food?" rather than actually even using the subject "Stop Buying Baby Food". That wording makes it seem like you have a strong opinion on the topic (though you later said you have no opinion on it?)

Just my 2 cents... I don't have kids, so the topic does not affect me either way at the moment :)

    You are ignoring this user

What? I'm sorry OP, I can't hear what you're saying. I put you on ignore about 100 threads ago.

Wonderful *idea* not quite practical for mothers already working 40 hours a week, taking care of baby and a whole household. :)
That's why our lazy butts buy it
