I need a kick in the butt!

I've been on this weight loss journey about 10 months now, lost 40 pounds, feel really good. Problem is I think I was so happy and feeling so good about those 40 pounds that I got lax...REAL lax, gained 10 back. Now, instead of only 20 lbs to go I'm 30 lbs to go.
Excuses? Ya I got them down. Oh it was my anniversary, oh my son turned 22, oh it was my birthday. All just excuses to eat what I wanted, not count calories or even give a thought to the me I would be a month or two down the road up 10 lbs and kicking myself in the butt.
Our gym has been closed for renovations, it opens back up on Monday the 11th. So...here's one more excuse for ya...when the gym opens, I'll tow the line with the calories too. Who am I kidding? If I keep going I'm going to be right back where I was 10 months ago and saying...Oh I just can't lose weight and keep it off, my hypothyroidism just gets in the way.
Oh for heavens sake. Just get over it, get back on that horse and ride like Lady Godiva!

Years ago my teammates came up with the "Fat-Whacker" plan (patent pending). It more or less just involved us hitting one another with a length of hose whenever we thought the other wasn't working out hard enough.0 -
I completely understand! Practically all of 2014 has been like that--but I've recently just jumped back on the horse again to finish this time!!
If you read the success stories in the message boards, there are a lot of people that have successfully reached their goal but admit they've had struggles before reaching it. The key is to lose the excuses and get back at it....because in the long run excuses are just that--and they won't take the weight off. Only you can do that for yourself!

The gym near my house closed completely. Get out there and walk/run. The internet has tons of body weight exercises you can do to stay strong. I have bad times too but what keeps me on track is always logging and counting calories. EVEN (especially) on the BAD days. I am also hypothyroid and know how difficult weight manage can be.0 -

You've already come pretty far because you KNOW you are making excuses.
This is up to you. You must make these choices, do this planning, find things that work for you. You CAN do it. Others before you have done it.
Stop making excuses! They only hurt you. You've lost weight already - do what you were doing before and you will be able to do it!0 -

I have been struggling myself. I know I am the only one that can fix. No one can do it for me. I used to have a drive, an inner focus about what I wanted to look like. That is gone right now. Actually haven't fully had it in about a year. Basically since I hit my pre-marriage weight last June. I was really comfortable after that. It has been bugging me a lot the last couple months. I know I will get my focus back so I am just trying to limit the damage as much as possible right now till it comes back.0 -

I'm pretty much recovered from my surgery and it's tempting to just not go back to working out...........0 -
I think thats why i havent stopped as i am scared to go back to the charity shop and get my bigger clothes back. You did it last time and you can do it again. Start weighing and logging and keep moving and you will be ok. If you cant get to the gym fitnessblender.com has some great exercises, so has you tube. Lots of people here work out at home. Good luck.0
