    You look great.

If you feel comfortable wear it. If you don't feel comfortable, don't.

You and I are about the same height/weight/size right now and if bikinis were my jam I'd wear one comfortably at this size. Sadly, I have 2 small children so I stick with one pieces that stay in place. The kiddie pool doesn't need to see my business.

I am 5' 6" and am now just two pounds from goal weight at 140. It took me a long time to lose 25 pounds, but I am finally close. Anyway I hope there is a lot more in your motivation to lose weight other than a bikini, because you're going to need it.

It's not easy. You have to be faithful about logging in each day, and you have to stick with it.

    Good luck to you.

TiL: It's okay to judge someone's motivation and tell them what is or isn't enough to get it done.

If you have to ask a bunch of internet people, you are probably not confident enough to wear it. Wear something that you are confident wearing otherwise you won't have a good time because of perceived looks and comments.

It;s so up to u, take all I say with a grain of salt. I am 5ft6 as well and 134 lbs. I personally won't wear a bikini until I lose weight. I wear a nice one piece.
Is your goal weight actually 100 lbs at 5'6"?? That would be severely underweight and unhealthy! In fact, you're already at an excellent weight at 134 lbs. If you would like to look more 'toned', eat at maintenance and lift heavy; that will lower your bodyfat percentage while building muscle and make you look great. If you actually think you're 'fat', you might steer into an eating disorder and might consider getting help. :flowerforyou:

I'm 5'3" and about your weight and I wear a bikini. I just make sure I try them on and like how they look. No one has complained.
  • I live across from the ocean and I see a lot of bikini wearing people, you look fabulous and should wear it with confidence.

Point well taken I'll wear it to a public pool first and see how Ifeel in it and if all goes well then iI'll wear it on vacation (x

When I bought my bikini, I posted a thread here. It was the responses from MFP friends, and new people that didn't know me at all that helped me to have the courage to walk out on that beach.

The one that kept repeating in my mind was: "How to get a bikini body. 1. buy bikini, 2. wear it"

Now I forget I even have it on, but I had to start somewhere. I know with me my version of me was WAY off of what others saw. :glasses:

I've got a half inch and about 10lbs on you, and I'm rocking a bikini in one of my pictures.
It's all about confidence. I'd rather show my stomach than hide it and let everyone know it's something I'm self conscious about. Besides, the more I show it, and the slightly smaller it gets, the prouder I am of the progress I've made.

But literally, bikini ready body just means you putting on a bikini haha

I'm going to be honest...there is a thing as "too big for a bikini." I saw it this weekend at the local pool.

You, OP, are nowhere NEAR being too big for a bikini.

I think you look awesome in your bikini. You have great proportions, curves in the right places, and everything looks supple not saggy. Go for it and walk proudly.

I think the OP looks great in the bikini personally. I also know as many others here as well, that how you feel about yourself makes all the difference. Like I said, if you feel confident wear it, if not don't.

Growing up I never would have imagined I would wear a bikini and live it..and I bought and started wearing mine..at 300 lbs. I am now down to 268 lbs and will continue to rock on every year. I love how I feel and look in it. Honestly if someone has an issue with it , they can look away. Here are some photos of me in it because I have nothing to hide. I hope more people , men and women find the courage to do what they want that makes them feel good !

I know it's easier said than done but why don't you just wear what you want and forget what everyone else thinks? You are your own best supporter....and besides your confidence might just give another woman confidence too :) All the best!
