Today I have logged my food for 365 consecutive days, I can't believe I did that. So I thought I'd share my success story. I started MFP on Aug. 5, 2013 but had a few days where I didn't log in the beginning. Over this past year I have accomplished so much, not just the weight loss, but my attitude about myself and life in general. I went through a rough time in my life and quickly gained a lot of weight, over 50 pounds in about a year and a half. When I saw a picture of myself (the first one posted here) I could not believe how big I got and knew it was time to take control of my life. I beat depression and had a better outlook on life and I took charge and became the person that I used to be, happy and healthy. The pic of me in the dress was taken Aug. 4, 2013 (the day before I started MFP) and I weighed an unbelievable 181 pounds on a 5' 2.78" small frame. Yikes! The bathing suit pic was taken Aug. 9, 2014 weighing in at 124, a much more desired weight for my frame.
Thank you so much for posting this. I really needed it today. I started about the same weight and time you did but after losing a bunch of my pounds. I got complacent, stopped logging and just feel off the wagon totally. So happy for you and your success. I can really see that I could have had a similar story but I quit. I did find enough motivation to start back today. I hope I can share the way you have today. Thanks :flowerforyou:0 -

Thank you all so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to know that I have inspired people...what an honor!
All it took for me to get moving is seeing that dreadful picture of me. I knew I wanted to lose before that, but it didn't really hit home until I saw how big I actually got. When I started MFP, I was sticking to about 1200 calories a day and exercising, mainly cardio at the time. Soon after I started doing Jillian Michaels DVDs along with other workouts that I felt like doing. Now I'm in my 9th week of p90x and eat more than the 1200 that I started with. I'm typically at 1500 per day.
I also have some pretty fabulous MFP friends that help me out along the way and listen to my rants when the scale doesn't move. :laugh:0 -
You look fantastic! Thank you for your inspiration!0

You look phenomenal! Even more impressive is the fact you can do amazing things - who would have guessed you'd be doing warrior dashes and 1 armed push-ups this time last year? But the very best thing to hear is that you are happy and comfortable in your own skin. That is the ultimate prize. Well done you!
Thanks for sharing and good luck on your continued journey0 -

HELLO...AMAZING!
I'm so impressed, that came with a lot of hard work and dedication. Congrats on a job well done. Your story is inspiring and I would love to hear how you did it. Especially the emotional part. Not that I personally have an issue with depression, I know someone who does and I'm wondering how you kicked that? Incredible.0 -
