Drained after eating, tired all the time

Last week or so, feel very drained- esp after eating, like I am on a go slow and my head is full of cotton wool. I am getting ratty with the kids too. I think my diary is open. I was particularly wrecked yesterday.
Any ideas- am I eating too little of something? Thanks

    Yes, calories. You are often below your calorie goal for the day. Try to eat to your calorie goal.

    The exercise calories are overestimated on MFP so I don't want to eat more than 50% back. Also, yesterday I ate over even the "overestimated" exercise calories and I was most exhausted yesterday.

    Iron deficit maybe? Although I live on spinach.
    I am nearly at goal- currently weigh 130lb and am 5 ft 5 inches

    Eating a meal heavy in bread or pasta will make me absolutely drained and foggy after eating. But looking at your diary, you eat hardly any fat, or calories for that matter.

    Watch your macros. I only looked at a few days, but could already tell you are not eating enough carbs/fats/proteins which is what fuels your body. Great veggie intake, but micronutrients don't produce energy.

    I can't argue with getting a physical from your MD. I would also start experimenting around with different food combos until I found a calorie amt and content that worked. Good luck!
  • Any idea what they would be looking at in particular? I have the same problem, and I've recently had a battery of blood work for a life insurance exam. Everything was normal, although my cholesterol in only 99 (!). Do statins cause drowsiness?
