Christine , I'm 28, mother to six kids , started on January 4th of this year have lost over 40 pounds so far I still have about 60 pounds to lose. Would love to find more friends on here and meet new people0

Hi! I am Jen. I am 42. I am a SAHM to my 3 boys. In the past year I have become a vegetarian and gave up both caffeine and sugar. I started at 129 and I am at 118 now. My goal is 110 but I that may change as my body changes.0

I've lost 28 of the 40 pounds I want to lose. I've had many ups and downs, but I keep going. Anyone is free to add me, I'm on every day! I'm no expert, but I help when I can. There's always room for one more on the friend list!
The MFP experience started with me wanting to lose 40 pounds and be done with it. After learning all kinds of fun stuff in the forums, the weight loss has become secondary, but still important. My new primary goals are: be strong and amazing, like so many of the ladies on MFP; finish Combat and Insanity; finish C25K and participate in a race this year.0 -
I'm Samantha, freelance writer and novelist, so I spend most of my time sitting at a desk. I'm also a gamer so that tends to be a problem. I'm 27, single, no kids, flexible job, so it seems like it would be easy to just get out there and do things, but it's not. I would love to find friends to keep me motivated and on track! I have about 150 pounds to lose, maybe less. I haven't been at a "healthy" weight in a really long time so I'm just not sure what is best for my frame. I kind of need a cheering squad and maybe a little tough love now and again.0

Hey there, I'm Jennifer, 31. I work full time at a desk job, so I don't get much activity during the day. My birthday is at the end of May and my goal is to reach my goal weight by my 32nd birthday. Not sure I'll make it, but trying my hardest! I've got two children and a very supportive husband. I love working out and tonight is my first trial at the C25k. I've always hated running. But, my friends have convinced me to sign up for a 5k in May. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this turns out.0

Hi, I'm Brent. I'm 42 year old cancer survior. Had testicular cancer twice in my life and fought it off twice. No need to fight that fight again, so here I am. I'm an avid cyclist that rides around 200 miles a week. I have a 13 year old son who shares my love for cycling. He is an avid racer and races road and cyclocross here in the state of VA. I'm also a Navy Officer and started out 23 years ago as an enlisted guy and moved up the ranks and crossed over to the officer ranks. I guess that is me in a nut shell.0

I'm a 48 year old mom who's metabolism has really slowed down despite loving to exercise. Started really watching more diligently what I've been eating with help of mfp and have lost a few pounds. Would love more friends on mfp!0

Hi everyone!
I joined MFP when I got on the scale one day and was shocked to see that I weighed over 200 lbs. I was disgusted. I started at 205 and only managed to lose a few lbs before getting pregnant.
Unfortunately, I currently weigh 207. But, here in 10-11 weeks I will be able to work on that again.
I am not currently tracking my food every day, just watching to be sure I get my vital nutrients and don't gain too much. But, I still log in all the time (almost daily, sometimes 30 times a day ) because I love to keep up with everyone else.
I love to support and help and will be back to it soon enough.
My first goal is 150 and I will reevaluate from there. I plan to exercise only after baby is born. I don't plan to calorie restrict as I don't want to mess with milk supply.
P.S. Please dont add me if you want me to support you in eating 900 calories a day or support your goal of reaching 99lbs.0 -

I'm in Houston as well and I also love to mountain bike - my husband and I go out riding every weekend. I'm also a weightlifter and LOVE it. I have about 40 more pounds to lose but I'm liking the inches lost versus the number on the scale

I am a 28 year old single mom in Katy/Houston- I am a full time student (working on my degree for counseling), work full time and have little free time to make my own. I have a few goals--
1) live a healthier lifestyle
2)Enjoy shorts this summer (you can't suck it in when you are in a swim suit)
3) Want to look hot for my 30th birthday (I've given myself time to get it off and keep it off!)
4) My daughter will be 15 in just over 2 years and I would like to look amazing for her and myself
5) I want more energy!!
6) Lose 30-45 pounds and gain some Abs and nice legs--to show off at the Houston Rodeo next year :happy: and all year long!

I'm Aundrea. I'm nineteen. I've had a difficult life, but then again haven't we all? Growing up my mom was a drunk and had a slew of abusive boyfriends.. My dad committed suicide when I was eight.. I guess I started "eating my feelings". When I was fourteen I started dating a guy that was extremely abusive.. I was assaulted at a lake by someone that still hasn't been found at fifteen. I got pregnant at sixteen by the abusive boyfriend. I lost my best friend of nine years to suicide.. I'm had a history of self harm, suicide attempts, drug abuse, and eating disorders. I finally decided it was time. I aim to lose about 80-100 pounds in about a year. I'm doing this for many reasons. In April I had to have surgery because during a pap they found out that I had early stages of cancer that seemed to just appear in several months. I broke down, but when I finally got myself together I made up my mind. I'm getting married in May and want to look back and think, "I looked beautiful." My son, fiance, and new friends are my motivation.
